A refreshing take in the survival genre

Great Game.

So nice to see console exclusives make it over to PC.

500+ hours in and I still don't know what I am doing. Playing with friends is ok but we seem to split off too much and I feel disconnected from them. The game seems cool, and a lot to wrap your head around.. but 500+ hours later and im not sure if I even had fun yet.

Best enjoyed with friends. Lots of Mods and building. Still has a long way to go, but I have enjoyed it so far.

7 days to die, what can I say. I was in a lull between games and some guild mates were on teamspeak talking while playing a game. Intrigues I asked what they were playing, and for some reason I already had the game in my Library (maybe a humble deal?). I had no clue what I was getting into, the interface wasn't great, was buggy in places, just getting connected to the server they were playing on felt like a chore. Graphically the game looked dated, like another minecraft clone. I died a few times just trying to get to where they were. Finally I hooked up with them at a cabin they found and were fortifying, with some basic weapons and basic gear, the 7th day hit. I had no idea what was going on, were were on the roof, but one of the team members didn't break the ladder we used to get on the roof... he died 1st and then they came for us (me and my other friend) we lasted about 30 seconds and died on the roof that night. I re-spawned many kilometres from that house, didn't put a bed roll down, got chased and I logged out. I should have stopped there, counted my losses and moved on. Now i have over 500 hours logged, nearing the 700th day in game, and I cant stop playing. There is so much to do, and playing with many people has been great, I cant compare to other sandbox games, as I am new to the genre, but the level of things to do in the game is huge and expansive. I can't wait to watch and experience the continued development of this game.

6000+ hours later and still playing, still can't stop playing.
So many mod pack overhaul mods to choose from make it like I am playing a new game.
