Cheers, does that mean that it can save mid-mission too then? It doesn't look like it supports Steam Cloud according to the Store Page :( copy it to a SD card and take it with you for now!

The question that I'm trying to figure out now is whether or not it supports Steam Cloud saves... it has the little icon in my Steam Library but I went home last night and my save game from work was nowhere to be seen :(

As far as I know, you can save at absolutely anytime - old school PC style, yo. I actually have my game set to Iron Man mode with autosave on, meaning that it constantly saves on one autosave, and I can't save myself, or quit without saving - no going back, all choices (and deaths!) permanent, etc :)
