The core of the gameplay is the most refreshing I have seen in a while. Leads to such hectic and intense gunfights with such simple mechanics and layouts. Not to mention the incredible sound design with ear ringing gunshots. Definitely helped improve upon the point of the gameplay. We need more games like this. One criticsm I'd have is I cannot see why we couldn't strafe and look up and down. A bit restrictive. Would definitely buy either way.

Sad that noone was able to top this for the past two decades.

An absolute classic that still stands to this day

A lot better and in-depth than I thought.

Despite some flawed and outright eye aching design choices (some of which can be turned off thankfully), this is one of the better games I have played in the last few years. The characters, the story, the music, the art direction is absolutely amazing, the gameplay, however, was disappointing. While the signature "indie gimmick" of the game, that being slowing down time, is executed really well, the remainder of the mechanics is simply too shallow and repetitive. The game does try to make up for it with amazing boss fights and some driving levels but the majority of the levels are still more of the same with different layouts. Either way, it is definitely worth playing through at least once.

The final game in the trilogy, and a great wrap-up to the story and its many mysteries. Despite a heavy lack of good puzzles, writers have finished up the series quite well.

It's Diablo 2 but slighty worse in every aspect except player convenience.
