Hell yeah, even the new doom reboots seem complicated. Learning the controls for new games exhausts me to not wanting to play anything. The retro movement should bring things back to normal. I was just playing jazz jackrabbit the other day for shots and gigs, had more fun with that in a quick 10 minute session than anything I've played on PC and ps5 all year

I remember the days of Doom when we still had Win9x computers (and they were modern at the time). Those days in the 90's are sorely missed! I swear that was the golden days. Splitting my time between Fallout 1 and 2 RPG's and Doom. Of course Simcity got in there somewhere along with Transport Tycoon Deluxe (now OpenTTD), but I still play all of them.
You know you're old when you can play the same few games basically forever, and nearly never get sick of it. New games are beautiful yes, but the gameplay just is so (often needlessly) complicated. If you need more than a 1~3 minute tutorial, the game is just *TOO COMPLICATED*. That time learning that complex stuff is better spent fixing the house or my lawnmower (and yes that's finally fixed). More Simcity time now! Or DOOM. Or Tank Wars.
