Updated Review:

They said we were bad at major defense orders, and yet the community banded together to take a stand. Sony has reversed their decision, so I have updated my review to positive again. I left my previous negative review below for context. I recommend this game wholly and completely. Beyond being an amazingly fun game, the community is just the best. Burn bugs, bust bots, and defend DEMOCRACY!

Previous Review:

This game is my favorite game. I love the way it plays, I love the cooperation, I love the story. This game is exceptional and, save for some annoying bugs, I've had nothing but fun and enjoyment.

However, Sony has made an absolutely absurd decision that will lock out a significant amount of their playerbase from playing the game. I personally don't care if I have to link a PSN account, because half the games that release now require third party accounts. It's annoying, but whatever. The required PSN linking is a real problem, as many countries do not have PSN support. Therefore, the players from those countries who have PAID FOR THE GAME will no longer be able to play it without breaking Sony TOS and risking a permanent ban.

I hold no ill will toward the game's developers. I hold all ill will against Sony. Thanks for killing my favorite game.

(For those saying this backlash is unfounded: The Steam store as well as the Sony website's FAQ both said it "MAY require a 3rd party account", not "requires a 3rd party account". It was changed when the backlash grew. The account link was never enforced or required until Sony's decision, and the game was sold in unsupported countries. This is bad faith business practice through and through. If you buy a game, you should get to play that game permanently.)
