I guess its all right. It's super grindy unless you pay money, but it gets easier the more you play.

During my short experience playing eve I've realized it's a great game, great time sink. It took a few hours to get used to the basics. I'm a relatively inexperienced player and after the past three days straight I've realized it's completely PAY TO WIN.
I've tried this route. This P2W isn't simply a one time donation. If you don't stay consistent with your subscriptions you lose access to some of the things you've paid for: Ships, Skills, Facilities. Now it wouldn't be terrible if donor subscription status simply gave players a boost; (Get better ships faster, bonuses to in game currency etc) But if you don't spend the $15.99 monthly on "Omega Clone Status" you have access to ~10% of the real game.

TL;DR - Don't play, you'll get hooked and blocked by a paywall to the real game

It's Skyrim, just buy it already
