He can solve a cube in about 20 seconds, and while that's wildly fast for mere mortals like you and me who might be able to solve one by accident in a year or two if we really tried hard, or could rearrange the stickers in a couple of minutes, in the cubing world that's pretty average, with world champs getting below ten seconds. I think he'll fair well, and has a good chance at going pretty far in the event. If he wins that's cool, but it's cool that he's going at all, that it's a charity event, and it'll be a fun experience for both of us, this being his first competition, and me being his plus one.
