The farm must grow

Never had a problem playing this game through Xbox Gamepass. After the recent gamepass price hike, I decided to buy the game on steam while it was 60% off. After downloading a 160 GB update which took almost 2 hours, I was met with nothing but crashes and couldn't even get past the main splash screen. The game is unplayable in it's current state and I would not recommend buying it.

♥♥♥♥ story, gunplay is decent. It's just far cry with a Borderlands theme slapped on top.

Game is absolute rubbish. The game runs poorly on high-end hardware, textures are streamed over the internet and look rubbish. I'm on a 500 Mbit connection and that wasn't enough to keep up with the high graphics preset. Just go buy MSFS 2020 or XPlane 11 instead of this trash.

Amazing story and satisfying combat. Runs without issues under the Proton compatibility layer as well.

Abandoned by the developers. As of 29/04/25 there are 350 players online.

game supports ultrawide 21:9 too which is a nice touch for a game of this age

I decided to try Payday 3 again after not touching it since launch, and honestly, it's really not as bad as people say. Sure, it doesn't even come remotely close to Payday 2 in most aspects, but if you put aside the comparison and look at Payday 3 for what it actually is, it's a solid, enjoyable game.

If you go in expecting Payday 2.5, you'll probably still be disappointed. But if you take the game for what it is, there's a lot of fun to be had.

Got the game for free with my graphics card so thought I would try it out. So far with 1.5 hours the game looks amazing, the story is well thought out and the small amount of combat I've experienced so far feels smooth and intuitive. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys action-adventure games. Will update review when I have finished the game.

Game runs at 80 fps with slight dips down to mid 60 fps during action-packed moments on the supreme preset (max graphics) with RT and DLSS disabled. Expect to more than half your frame rate with full RT enabled.

Edit 1: Upon entering the city I am getting 40 fps with the above settings. Would recommend playing on high preset with DLSS set to balanced if using a 4070 Super
