The game did JUST release, so this is definitely an early review and may change in the coming months/years.

The First Descendant tries to blend many many mechanics and ideas from Warframe and Destiny. The problem is that it doesn't go deep enough into any of them, except for Warframes monetisation.

Ignoring the micro-transactions, the game is absolutely stunning, and many of the female characters are oversexualized (not necessarily a bad thing).

The gameplay doesn't come close to either Warframe or Destiny. The guns have no weight to their shots. Swapping weapons or even ADSing is often laggy because of animation locks. The game can be played absolutely as a free player, but, akin to warframe, you're looking at multiple day long wait times to unlock characters, AFTER you get their non-100% drop rate items. The abilities (so far only played Ajax and Bunny) are lackluster and don't even remotely compare to damage potential of your basic primary weapon. Boss fights are tedious and repetitive, destroy the three balls floating over the boss's head in order to damage the boss itself. "Weak spots" and breakables on some of the giant targets are often on the back/top of the target, making it almost impossible to destroy/hit because of their movement and facing/chasing you.
