I was drawn to this by GBC-looking character art, but really it feels like an amalgamation of what might have been in vogue around 1999, a mashup of everything you remember the era looking like, with a strong sense of color.

"Ex-Magical-Girls have quarter-life crises" seems to be a more and more common story conceit nowadays, and frankly it's still working for me. Bonus points for being persistently gay and only as long as it needs to be. Beware that getting the "true ending" is a little glitchy, but forgiving enough when you're on the right track that you can muddle through.
