One of the most intense stragety games I have ever played. If you consider yourself a hardcore stragety gamer, this is a great old school game. The game has 2 sides of it, the base building part and the battle part.

The base building part is great! You deal with money and politics from around the world in order to keep your XCOM program up and working. The amount of stragety can be staggering and can ultimately help you take out the alien threat.

The battle part is also great. You land to attack the alien threat and you must use cunning strategy to keep your soldiers high and dry. This game will be ruthless and unfair at times, but it will beat you down so much that you'll start to respect gamers of old. I would put this on a all-time gamers bucket-list.
