I haven't felt this sort of pull towards a game since Red Dead 2. This is incredibly made; the visuals (even on the steam deck), the sound, the story, the narration, morality, actions that have consequences. Baldurs Gate 3 just reminds me what gaming should be like - fun - and it sets the bar high: designed to be respectful of players time.

Small company creating a game that’s aesthetically appealing, with challenging combat and uncomplicated systems. This deserves attention and if you can afford the time & financial cost, I think you’ll be left pleased.

Runs ok on the steam deck ATM.

This game is FUN. Takes a short while to understand what's going on, but quickly feels like a combination between Diablo, hades combat, and V rising.

Season 2 is such a great improvement.
Runs great 40+ fps consistently on the deck too.
I found running medium + fsr2 worked best for me. Looks so good.

F2P, fun, fast queues, great length of ranked matches.

Would recommend.

Big fan of RTS - this one is great. Pretty well balanced, fun, and positive PvP performance on steam deck.

Wow, I just played about 5/6 matches and hadn't realised the time, this game is so much FUN.

Bear in mind, it is early access and there are clear bugs and common loading crashes, with plenty of room for improvement.

Online is all I've played so far, I recommend it.

EDIT: They really did remove the enjoyment out the game (football) and turned it into ping pong at x5 the speed. I'd suggest not buying if your focus is multiplayer, you'll just get stressed out far more often than ending up enjoy it.

Honestly, a very disappointing launch, but gameplay is fun.

- Ultimate edition pre-order access to early launch, game didn't launch for 2 days until someone on reddit helped.
- Expensive for what you're getting
- Day 1-3, EA normal packs on offer, once you've spent your points, they release another tier of packs better than the last, etc etc
- It's honestly so shocking how monetised this game has become via Ultimate team.
- FPS issues on PC throughout menu's
- No mixed transfer market, but we're allowed crossplay?

+ Gameplay itself is best it's been in many years.
+ Solid, fun music / playlist
+ Fun game.

I'd recommend the game once it's cheaper and once EA actually communicate with the community. I think the reviews here are fair towards EA as a company, however a little short sighted towards the football that happens within the game.

Otherwise, you're honestly better off waiting for it to be on sale - if you're not easily swayed already by the hype.

- PvP isn't fun as a solo player
- bugs (like monsters hitting you when they're not even close)
- Trying to melee is difficult/buggy
- Game just isn't exciting as a solo player. You're either getting chased by a duo OR you don't come into contact with another player yet the extraction is so far (you're having to travel to complete missions around the map) so end up running alot.

I would recommend this with a friend, for a few hours of fun. I tried to get into this, after 15 successful missions it just doesn't feel rewarding enough.
