Honestly, really, really good.

Feels like someone took like uh, Alien Isolation, Outlast, and Fnaf, and mashed it all together.
Plus the optimization is really good from my experience. Haven't gotten that deep yet, but it's a genuinely good horror game, even if you're not all that into fnaf

Really cool game, haven't really gotten that deep into it yet, but dam. Couldn't recommend more.

Feels like a real time mmo action rpg game, but with other elements that all culminate to become a cool unique thing.

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this game yet.

It was my introduction to the series. Had multiple times where I got burnt out and frustrated as I learned; and got burnt out even later after playing so much I was losing brain cells to doing the same thing over and over and over again. Enjoying this game so much to the point where it was my life.

Music is great, optimization is great, gameplay is great, world building is great, characters are great, it's all great.

Some of the unique things to this specific monster hunter are definitely divisive, but this is still my favorite in the series by far, and I don't see that changing any time soon. Wilds is alright (though optimization needs time to improve), and World is great, but this is just mwah.

Game simply doesn't even work as intended.

Go to the character creator, and it hard crashes your whole pc. Waste of money outdated software.

Monster Hunter as a franchise is a wonderful thing. Even the gameplay of this game is really good; I cannot fully enjoy it though even still, with the really poor optimization they put into this thing.

I was giving them a pass for awhile, in the hopes that they would improve things from launch, but that doesn't appear to be the case. That plus experiencing other more recent games that look far better graphically that are far less demanding like Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, showing what actual optimization looks like, just makes me enjoy my time with this game less and less.

I mean, the gameplay, again, is good. But it's like trying to enjoy a movie, but you have to wear some crappy goggles that make the movie hard to watch the whole time.

Please, capcom, optimize your game. I get that World had a rough launch and eventually became a nonissue of performance, but we shouldn't have to rely on new pc hardware, and 7+ yrs of updates to get the game to a playable state, when other developer teams can do more with less (ahem KCD2).

Please, capcom, I beg of you.
Until this game gets to an actually playable state, I'm not touching this game again. World and Rise are plenty fun though, so time to revisit them for now I suppose. I feel sorry for people who were just introduced to the franchise through this game, that think this kind of optimization and experience is likely the norm when it just isn't. Just, so sad.

Ngl, I honestly forgot this game existed until the recent stuff with the dev came up.

I don't care about that stuff that's happening, but I will say, it's not really a great sign for a game, that it hasn't released after years upon years upon years of being in Early Access.

It's a neat game, but I have to say, it feels like it's been ages. I get devs taking their time with development, it's a big project. But this has been in production for absolutely ages; especially considering when it was posited on kickstarter in 2017

Going to have to give it a thumbs down, but I will change it to a thumbs up when the full release comes out. I want to play the full game, but it's just not worth it right now, nor is it worth the money, when buying the game right now, is basically just funding the game's development. That's now how single player games should be funded.

Please finish the game Pirate, that's all I ask.

This is a fun game, but to be blunt, it still hasn't really 'clicked' for me. I do enjoy it, but I basically have no idea what I'm doing besides the very basic stuff. Hoping it clicks eventually but it is fun.
