its a bit mimic

It’s pretty good as a horror game but as a fnaf game? I mean if you play the first game and then this one the difference is staggering. This seems more akin to poppy playtime because it drops the limited movement and claustrophobic atmosphere of the Scott era games and lets you explore, although not as much as security breach. Meanwhile like poppy playtime, we have to go into an abandoned factory where we use a device that we get at the beginning to solve puzzles, and sometimes use in order to escape from multiple enemies from chase sequences. Not like that’s a bad thing though, because at the very least the gameplay itself is good and intense, as it should be.

When this game first came out, I originally kinda dismissed it because I felt they were drifitng away from what fnaf used to be. But then I played the game, and realised how good of a game this is from a mascot horror stand point.
The story is cohesive and honestly fixes a decent amount of stuff from the original games, the game is visually appealing (especially compared to some parts of security breach) and is overall a breath of fresh air from the genre. Plus, actual GAMEPLAY! Which brings me to my final positive: the mimic
The mimic has to be my favourite 'mascot' from these genres of games, as the premise of him being able to hop into any suit is cool enough, but the way they incorporate it into gameplay is simple, yet really effective. And he's actually threatning, like you can't just run by him. Finally a mascot horror game where the main guy is actually physically present within a majority of gameply instead of seeing him like only a couple times. Plus, he's jsut cool and definitely makes me hyped for him to be the next big bad of the series.
It's still not a perfect game, while mostly bug free (again compared to security breach) there are some performance issues and i still can't help but yearn for a bit of the style and story of the older games, but I think we have to accept that the story needs to move on, and this is a damn good way to do so.
But despite that, this might still be one of my favourite fnaf games. Can't beat help wanted tho.
