Back 4 Blood was something I approached with a mix of excitement and caution. I still had the sensations of Left 4 Dead in my hands, that game that stayed with me for years, almost like an old friend you never really forget. So of course, I was expecting it to slip up. And yet, within the first few minutes, I felt something familiar return — but with a rawer, more modern energy.
The chaos is still there, untouched, but denser. The weapons hit with a weight I hadn’t felt in a long time, and the infected swarm like a tide that refuses to let you breathe. What surprised me most was how the card system eventually won me over: at first I was skeptical, then I realized it gave each run its own identity, its own little story.
In co‑op, the game becomes something else entirely. You rediscover that simple joy of surviving together, of saving each other at the last second, of laughing after a total disaster. That’s where Back 4 Blood really grabbed me — in those moments where gameplay turns into a shared memory.
It’s not Left 4 Dead, and it doesn’t try to be. But it reminded me why I love this genre: the adrenaline, the camaraderie, the beautiful mess of it all. And in the end, I stopped comparing. I just enjoyed the ride.

Quake Champions is a brutal reminder of what it truly means to play fast.
A FPS that doesn’t try to charm you, it imposes its pace, sharp, relentless, uncompromising.
The speed is total, almost hostile, turning every duel into a pure reflex test.
Weapons strike like sacred icons: rockets to control space, rail to cut clean, LG to apply pressure.
Champions add a tactical layer without ever slowing the essence of combat.
The maps breathe the legacy of old LAN halls, carrying that metallic scent of raw skill.
Here, hesitation has no place, movement is your only shield.
Every frag pulls you back to the golden age of FPS, when mastery ruled everything.
Quake Champions doesn’t flatter, doesn’t forgive, doesn’t simplify.
It demands, it shapes, it reminds.
A game that doesn’t try to be modern, but to stay true.
A game that isn’t consumed, it’s tamed.

R-Type Dimensions EX remains a true test of piloting skill, even today. Jumping back into it after discovering it back in the day really shows how this shoot ’em up has always embraced its reputation: difficult, demanding, unforgiving, yet incredibly rewarding.

What still stands out is how faithfully this version preserves the spirit of the original episodes. The gameplay hasn’t been softened or over‑modernized: you still get that razor‑sharp precision, those patterns that punish the slightest mistake, and that unique feeling of progressing purely through skill.

One of the best ideas in this edition is the ability to instantly switch between retro graphics and the remastered version with a single press of the controller. This small gesture creates a direct bridge between two eras: from raw pixels to polished 3D in the blink of an eye, giving the experience real historical and nostalgic value.

In the end, R-Type Dimensions EX isn’t just a remaster — it’s a faithful tribute to a time when games forgave nothing but rewarded everything. A title that reminds you why you came back to it then, and why you still come back today

Dead Space is still an unforgettable experience, even after multiple playthroughs. I first finished it on Xbox 360, and replaying it on Steam reminded me why this game became a classic. The atmosphere aboard the USG Ishimura is incredibly tense—every metallic sound and flickering light keeps you on edge. Some mechanics, like the zero-gravity sections or the shooting mini-games, feel a bit dated now, but they don’t take away from the overall immersion.

The combat system, focused on strategically dismembering necromorphs, remains satisfying and adds a tactical layer to every encounter. On PC, the sharper visuals and smoother performance make the horror even more intense, though the interface originally designed for consoles can take a little adjustment. The way the story unfolds through environments and audio logs is still captivating, pushing you to explore despite the constant fear.

Black Mesa isn’t just a remake, it’s a quiet reminder of the mark Gabe Newell left on an entire generation of players.
When I walk through the corridors of Black Mesa, it feels like revisiting a whole chapter of gaming history, one that Newell helped shape with almost handcrafted boldness.
I still remember the first time I launched Half‑Life: I didn’t yet realize that behind this game stood a mind capable of redefining an entire genre.
Black Mesa brings that feeling back instantly.
Every detail, every atmosphere, every heavy silence seems to whisper: “This is what it means to take the player seriously.”
It’s almost ironic that this remake, born from passionate fans, extends the legacy of a man who always believed in the creativity of his community.
I think back to that anecdote where Newell, during a surprise visit to a modder, brought a cake to thank him for his work.
Moments like that, rare in this industry, explain why the Half‑Life universe still inspires such devotion.
In Black Mesa, you can feel that lineage: a deep respect for the original work, but also the freedom to reinvent it.
