First off, I'd like to say that the aesthetics of the chess game are amazing. The slightly faded, off-coloured pieces fit the scene very well, despite looking like very nice pieces, especially with the gold accents on them both. Big fan of the look overall.

Now, my favourite part is the actual mechanics of the game. The highlighting of the moves you can make when you select a piece, as well as blocking you from making moves that'd put you in check, are both standards; but where I think this game goes above and beyond is that it actually animates you and your opponent grabbing and moving the pieces with your mouse in real time. Some might say this can give certain strategies away that other online chess games don't, but it replicates the psychological side of playing chess in person that is very often overlooked in digital versions of chess.

As for the people, a lot of them like to play, a lot of them just run around the map doing other stuff, or arm wrestling, which is okay, I guess. You're still gonna find players to match pretty often, but it's a bit frustrating when you don't.

Overall, 8/10, lovely mechanics, gritty aesthetic, much better than other chess games.
