After 8 hours of play, I know why I haven't owned a Madden game since 2012. There's no innovation. there are more bugs than gameplay, the graphics are stagnant, the announcers are as repetitive as ever, and of all things the game has actual advertisements on every loading screen. So when this review prompt asks me, "Would you recommend this game to other players?" I am obligated to say, "No." There is a bit of contradiction here since I purchased the game knowing full-well that Madden NFL 23 was a poor entry into the series. I paid $17 for it on the spring sale and I only recommend it if you absolutely want an NFL game to play that could potentially be unplayable in 5 years because of it's always-online requirements from EA and you don't have it already on a console.
