TLDR: The singleplayer is somewhat short but I still enjoyed my time with it a lot. Love to see more content and challenges but the foundation is great.

Thoughts after finishing all blue and black slopes of the three mountains at launch and playing a bit of multiplayer:

---
Thoughts related to "Solo Mode":

As someone who finished everything in LM: Downhill it feels like the mountains are a bit too easy in the black slopes - even in the last mountain it rarely took me more than 1 or 2 tries to get all 3 missions completed - sometimes returning only because i missed the 9 crash challenge by 1.

In Downhill the challenges felt more distinct i.e. "dont crash at all", or find the "best" route while only crashing 3 times. Here it feels way too forgiving which would be fine for the blue slopes but doesnt feel so good for the black. (since blacks are kind of crazy in the real world.)
Maybe move the black challenges to red and then create a real challenge for enthusiasts with the freed up black label.

Thoughts related to Team Multiplayer:

The goal is to collect points by performing tricks - thats a nice concept and perfectly fits the theme. I would also love to see this as a challenge in the singleplayer.

# Initial thoughts after 3 hours of playing:

I loved LM: Downhill and played the demo a lot so I directly bought it at launch. My TLDR so far is

- Skiing feels like a great addition to the game and seeing your failed attempts in the snow is really cool
- The addition of multiplayer is amazing (though the servers can be laggy in the current state)
- I've played through half of the content within the 2 hours playtime so far and the two mountains I've seen are a lot of fun and even though the snow makes it harder for them to have a "different feel" they somehow still managed to do this
- But overall I feel like there should be a lot more mountains (they used to add this in the downhill version so lets see)
- For anyone playing on the steam deck: it runs a little stuttery at around 45 FPS which didnt feel to great - maybe they do an optimization pass at one point. on the desktop its great though
