Don't Starve Together was my favorite game. I remember playing the game with my cousins and friends all day during the pandemic, sometimes even up to four in the morning.

I played it the most with my cousin, Krys. He and I were best friends, and we learned how to play the game together. We became so good at it too. We'd discuss strategies, send each other awesome mods we could add to our server, watch DST YouTubers and give each other tips on how to play certain characters.

I remember he suddenly dropped by my house and stayed there for a week, and yes, all we did during that entire week was play DST like crazy. During Christmas I bought my friends and cousins skins of their favorite characters. For Krys, it was Wigfrid, because she was so easy to play and quite literally at times ignored the rules of the DST world.

I'd forever treasure these memories.

Today was supposed to be his 23rd birthday. It's been months since I last even touched the game. Opening it is difficult, actually playing it is downright impossible. I look at our old servers together and realizing that I'll never get to play those with him ever again breaks my damn heart.

Four hundred hours and still it wasn't enough time with him.

This game is really great to play with friends or family. Learning how to survive in the DST world is fun in its own way too. The lore of the Don't Starve series is one of my favorite. I hope you guys can continue to enjoy this game in my place.
