Fun metroidvania. I recommend playing with a keyboard and mouse. I started playing with a controller but had to switch halfway because a large part of the game is aiming where you want to go, and that's way easier with a mouse. There are a few timed escape sections which are pretty frustrating going in blind, so I recommend watching a guide for those sections. Overall, I would recommend it if you like metroidvanias. It's got great art and audio, too.

It's a visually stunning game but I think running around the metro in the previous games was more fun and exciting. Most of this game is actually not in the metro system, and I miss the claustrophobic feeling that the older games had. And the AI is so dumb...human enemies hide behind cover with their head sticking out so you can still headshot them easily. Also the voice acting is actually terrible and characters sometimes talk over each other.

Despite all this, I'm giving it a thumbs up because YOU CAN TOOT THE TRAIN HORN.

This idle game is too much work.

It's a fun game but I can't recommend it because of the dumb, extremely strict time limit the game imposes on starting story quests. It doesn't even make sense; you have to stop what you're doing and haul ass back to the safe house just to watch a cutscene which are just the characters talking. If you don't make it back in time, it is literally game over.

WTF am I supposed to be doing? The tutorial explains the controls but doesn't go over what the objective of the game is. There is no ingame chat and a teammate went AFK.

I really enjoyed this game. The scenery is stunning. Its vast jungles, underground caves, and ancient ruins are all beautifully designed.

The combat is great, and most encounters have the choice to use stealth or shoot everyone up. It's kinda funny that Lara can kill from stealth in a few seconds like an assassin from AC lol.

Lara's voice actress is phenomenal. Her delivery is just perfect, and she really makes Lara likeable. I enjoyed hearing Lara describe the little bits of Maya, Aztec, and Inca lore hidden all over the place. And the way she pronounces "jag-u-ar" is very British and funny.

The animators did a great job with Lara's movements. Running, climbing, rope swinging, swimming, and combat are all very fluid. Facial expressions are also superbly animated and convey emotions very well.

The soundtracks and audio design deserves praise as well.

The only weak point is the story. However, this game is about exploring ancient ruins so it doesn't require a narrative masterpiece to be fun and engaging.

Awful puzzles.

Great game, but it crashes all the time. Save often or just play the original Bioshock 2.
