If you've never heard of this game before then just imagine a bad ass chinese dude in a GTA type game.
- Real free-roam, not that fake free-roam in Yakuza 0.
- Steal cars/Cop rampages/Civilian rampages etc. Pretty much everything you'd do in GTA is here.
- Combat is extremely fun. It's just like the Batman games. The counter system, I believe, is one of the best combat systems in existence.
- Parkour. Though you're limited to where you can actually parkour, you can pretty much use parkour to get around the map. It's obviously not as good as Mirror's Edge Catalyst but at least you can wallrun up a gate/fence and do other various parkour moves to get around or away from cops. Though it's not designed specifically for parkour, so only some parts of the map will allow you to fully utilize the parkour system.
- Guns are pretty rare. I say to think of this game like GTA because it plays almost exactly like GTA but it also plays a lot like Batman. Except Batman never uses guns (real guns anyway). When you do get a gun though, you can do a bunch of cool things that include parkour. Though, if you're one of those people that always has to be shooting things 24/7 then you'd probably want to stay away from this game.
- Gore. I remember the first time I shot someone in the head I was thinking to myself: "What the f***." It felt so realistic. It reminded me how badly made GTA5 was. Shooting someone in the head in GTA5 is boring and besides a big red tear drop and a tiny spot on the person's head, it didn't feel like I really shot them in the head. Maybe the devs of GTA5 assumed that children would play the game so they toned down the gore or maybe they were just lazy. But the devs of Sleeping Dogs were the complete opposite. You're going to be saying "oh sh*t" when you see your first head get popped.
- Cursing. It's funny since instead of bleeping it or removing it entirely, they replace the word with the chinese curse word instead. It's amusing and doesn't feel like it's weird at all.
- There's probably more I could mention but that's all I could remember.

I was honestly disappointed with Yakuza 0. I assumed it was going to be a Sleeping Dogs in Japan but after reading reviews and watching gameplay I realized that it's nothing like it. I'd definitely recommend Sleeping Dogs if you were thinking of getting it.

And it's on discount right now for $5. I promise you that you'll have more fun playing this than paying almost $20 for Yakuza 0.

I only buy games on discount now but If I didn't, I'd say that this game is worth the $30 it's asking for. But it's on discount and for $5 you'll have a hard time finding anything that even remotely resembles GTA, much less find a game better than GTA--which this game is.
