No English Voice Actors. I'm not into reading subtitles. The budget and audience for this game and not having ENGLISH voice acting is the dumbest decision I've seen in 2026 gaming.

Fun till it gets old. Probably a solid 80 hours till you start seeing the grind. Only played the initial release, so as the game ages it should only get better with more content and more refinement to the systems.

Game has a weird progression system, you don't really need to spend time grinding to get stronger, because all the things that require a strong character are optional gameplay mechanics. You can make the game easier if you want at any time.

It's just a new genre game from China using Wuxia theme/lore and has a mismash of systems and progression. Hope they figure it all out before people get bored or forget this game exists.

I've changed my review as time passes. My initial 5 hours was great, then the game slowed down and it started to feel shallow. Then after about 12 hours, I leveled up and started being able to unlock new items and crafting and started getting enough resources to equip myself better, and started having more fun.

Bigger backpack = carry more stuff = less time wasted inventory managing.

Then back at the review again, and I must go with Thumbs down for a few key reasons.

1) The game is shallow, once you finish upgrading your workbenches, chicken, and get blueprints, the need to "loot stuff" pretty much ends.
2) The lack of a need to "loot stuff", makes the entire point of going topside to loot, well... pointless. My stash is maxxed and its full of stuff that I don't want to sell or recycle because I NEED all of it to make the things I use. I can't replace anything in my stash with something I loot, so why should I continue to loot?
3) Number of Player Killers increasing, as the 2 conditions I listed above become true for more players. When a player reaches the same point listed in my above points 1&2, then their only remaining option is to either quit the game or become a Player Killer.
4) Eventually, the maps will be full of only Player Killers. They won't bring anything with them (lootwise) they don't want to lose, just the minimum to kill another player and take their stuff. Free Kit ambushes, Trappers, Hallway Campers... game will simply turn into a small community of toxic killer/griefers, simply because there is no other path available.


Anyway, the game has promise and for $40 its a decent offering. I think the players in SOLO mode really prefer PvE, while the 3v3s are all about the PvP combat experience. I see this game getting a PvE - Solo mode soon.

Game is very PAY 2 WIN. If you drop $20-30 you get a Tier 3 ship that can blast the living hell out of free to play players for weeks. If a free to play ever even makes it to a tier 3 ship that is... most won't.

The game has some interesting things, but in the end, its all just a big grind to make a bigger ship for the reason of having a bigger, ship? The quests never change, one port is the same for the entire game. The items you find are all the same, there isn't any real scaling of anything that drops, and the time gating is absurd with locking progression behind limited crafting "time" that is limited per day. You can easily waste your limited crafting resource and be hosed for the entire day and fall behind others. The game has a lot of ways to screw up and waste time/resources as well, without explaining anything. Total trial and error.... and worst of all, there seems to be some type of exponential scaling for COSTS to make things, and the higher your level the more expensive it is to make the same items that you could have made at lower levels. Very stupid design choice wish punishes leveling up.

I played it till I couldn't play anymore, then kept perfecting the town. Looking forward to what is yet to come. Very fun cozy game.

The game is a scam. The actual game play is fine, it can be fun, but around 10 hours in, you see it for what it is. The numbers keep getting bigger and bigger for the amount of resources you need to progress. The little trickle of currency you get early on makes it feel like progression, but its really not. You're just going through the same motions as everyone else. The real problem is the level caps, time locks, time gates and the need to PAY 2 WIN in some form, or you constantly get robbed by the game systems. Taxes, Fees, Surcharges on all kinds of items make it punishing for people NOT swiping the credit card to keep up.

NOW onto the real problem. It's free 2 play, and the game has no anti-cheat. There are already cheats/hackers abusing this fact, speedhacking, ESP, Radar to find you... and not only that, these 3rd worlders run around in large zergs for solo and small team combat. These bottom feeders don't want a fair fight, they want to run around and gank in teams of 10-20 players finding 1-2 players and trying to "WIN BIG" on the loot that may drop. Just a stupid game in the end.

This is a great game until it becomes a bad game, but that doesn't happen until well over 100+ hours in... If you want a fun survival game based on the dune universe, then buy it and enjoy!

The problem with the game is when you go from "surviving, exploring, getting sidetracked and having a blast", then you acquire FLIGHT. Once you get an Ornithopter, the game just changes so much for the worse. You can now circumnavigate the entire game world without risk, the worm pretty much vanishes from your thoughts and is no longer a factor whatsoever. The enemy camps become something you skip because you can fly over them, land rush in loot and fly away, and well the game just gets cheesable. Sure you could restrict yourself to not flying, but who is really going to do that? I know I can't...

Anyway, the game is easily 9/10 prior to obtaining flight, then drops to a 5/10 once you can fly due to the issues I mentioned already. Once you finish the main story, and move on to the "Deep Desert", the game simply falls flat on its face and is a 2/10 and NOT recommended at all in its current iteration (June 2025).

The game needs to find a way to keep the survival, exploration, discovery and fun from the first 50 hours, and do something to delay flying or make it not as accessible (maybe more storms, or higher cost to fuel, or something).

The higher level sections of Hagga Basin also need much love. The majority of quests, missions and exploration take place in the south and east portions of the map. The Northwest and West sections are too empty, lack questing objectives and are underutilized.

Honestly it feels like they had a great formula and was pressed to finish the game by X Deadline, so we have what we have now. A Great first 50-80 hours, then a haphazard 80-110 hours, then a garbage endgame that is pointless, unbalanced, and boring.

Like I already mentioned a few times though, the game is worth it if you just want to have a blast for that first 80-100 hours and feel like you beat it and move on... do NOT play this for the "endgame" because its missing. (EDITED to a NOT RECOMMENDED because of recent patches in late June 2025. The devs have pretty much abandoned any type of meaningful PvP and lasting gameplay loop. It was a cash grab and deception).
