If you’re into open‑ended city builders—where every little decision, from zoning to taxes, actually matters—Cities: Skylines II is a no‑brainer. I’ve lost count of how many hours I’ve poured into tweaking road layouts, juggling budgets, and watching my little sims go about their day. The depth here is insane: traffic really behaves like real traffic, power grids blackout if you don’t plan properly, and the resource chains force you to think several steps ahead.

The customization is next‑level, too. Want to carve out a sleepy lakeside suburb one minute, then switch to a dense high‑tech district the next? You can. Custom road shapes, layered data overlays, district policies—plus a Workshop that’s already bursting with awesome mods—mean your city can look and play exactly how you want.

Frequent Updates: Colossal Order has been on fire, pumping out patches that squash bugs, boost performance, and add handy QOL features like smarter traffic AI, more district policy options, and detailed disaster‑management overlays. Every time I fire the game up, there’s something new or smoother.

DLC Roadmap: And the DLCs keep rolling in—new building tiers, regional specializations, expanded services, even seasonal events and free content drops. They really know how to keep city planners hooked long after the launch hype fades.

The only thing missing right now is multiplayer. I’d kill for a co‑op mode where I could team up with friends to build megacities together (or sabotage each other’s traffic flow). Fingers crossed they add it soon—because once that drops, I’ll never log off. Until then, I’m perfectly happy nerding out solo, but I can’t wait to drag my buddies into this rabbit hole. Cities: Skylines II is hands‑down one of the best city‑builders out there—just buy it already.

7 Days to Die is flat out one of the best survival games ever made and I don’t think that’s even debatable.

This game actually respects your time and your brain. You don’t get handheld. You don’t get bailed out for bad decisions. If you screw up, you pay for it. Every day matters. Every build choice matters. And every seventh night reminds you real quick whether you planned correctly or not.

The loop is perfect. Loot during the day, make smart decisions, build something that actually works, then defend it. Base building isn’t cosmetic. It’s functional. Crafting has depth. Exploration feels dangerous the way it should. When you die, it’s usually because you got lazy or greedy and that’s on you.

Solo is intense. Co op is absolute chaos in the best way. Mods push it even further and give it stupid replay value. You can sink hundreds of hours into this game and still not feel like you’ve seen everything.

It’s not flashy. It’s not trying to chase trends. It’s just a solid survival game built the right way. Old school design. Real consequences. No nonsense.

If you have even a small interest in survival games, stop overthinking it and play 7 Days to Die. Give it a real shot and it will hook you. Games like this don’t come around often anymore and this one absolutely delivers.
