I’m genuinely thankful for the care and time Monster put into writing this—it wasn’t just words, it felt seen. As a femboy who was discharged from the Navy who also plays CS2, having someone who understands both the game and the parts of you that don’t always get understood means everything to me. Monster always has my back, in matches and beyond, and that kind of support hits different when you know it comes from a real place of empathy and shared experience. It reminded me why community matters, why we queue up together, and why having someone who believes in you—clutch or not—can make all the difference. 💛

After the Navy, the quiet was the hardest part. The injury changed how he moved; coming out changed who stayed. Some days felt smaller than a ship’s bunk.

Then he found CS2.

At first it was just muscle memory—angles, timing, teamwork. But soon it became something else. In the glow of the screen, his chair wasn’t a limitation; it was a command post. His disability didn’t erase his instincts. His queerness wasn’t a liability—it was part of the resilience that kept him calm under pressure.

Round by round, he remembered who he was: someone who adapts, communicates, watches his team’s backs. Wins felt good. Losses felt teachable.

CS2 didn’t fix his life. It reminded him he was still in it—still skilled, still needed, still capable of joy.
