If the Vive's screen goes black and does not come back on, all or some of the following steps will fix it:

- Unplug all cables
- both sides of linkbox
- from computer
- Restart
- Open steam VR
- Uninstall all usb drivers
- Restart
- plug in cables to computer
- plug in cables to PC side of link box
- wait for drivers
- plug in cables to HMD
- wait for drivers
- Restart
- Start SteamVR
