Just an absolute masterpiece, devs abandoned the game, but its still fun to hop on and play from time to time. Valve, please don't abandon this wonderful game! :c

A few bugs here or there, for the most part, this is an amazing game, It is a breathe of fresh air compared to any other game that has been created in the past few years. I couldn't recommend it enough!!

First off, I cannot express how fantastic of a game this is! The struggle is real, the exploration seems endless, the possibilities for a character build are vast and quite powerful. This isn't quite as difficult as your typical From Software game, but it's still a challenge. I've completed the game three times now, completed all achievements, and started a new character to join the PvP META. This is just such a great game!!

First off, I love this game and want to play more but the game will literally not let me. The story, the combat, the parkour, the looting system, the leveling system, its all fantastic and anyone can enjoy the game! The reason I am leaving a Not Recommended is because it is riddled with bugs and glitches. Co-op is riddled with bugs and glitches, and I ran into a game breaking bug which I cannot continue with the game until it is fixed. I am stuck on "Leaving the quest area" and the quest area is over 1,000 meters away with FOUR seconds to get to it. This happened after I was playing with a friend in co-op and came back to my game, and i am not the only one. I will leave a positive review when this is corrected.

Remember kid, there's heroes and there's legends. Heroes get remembered but legends never die!

This game is one of a kind, i have never played a game in this genre, with this level of craftsmanship. You simply don't find games like this anymore, most other games are about numbers. This game pushes you off into the deep end of immersion. Exploring a new world, with new threats, with new faces, with new abilities, with new weapons, with new armor, with new dynamics. Everything about this game IS SO D*** REFRESHING!!

Before you take a look at my Pros and Cons, just know i haven't even touched the multiplayer aspect and I have only completed 4 of the 5 campaign stories. I will update again after completing the campaign missions and dipping my toes into the multiplayer.

CONS
-2D art in a 3D world (Honestly I forget until i try to get a top down view, but i know someone will say this is a CON)
-Completely text based (there are 4 options for voices but at the time of this review it does nothing. Also i'm a slow reader)

What the Game Lacks:
Customization, plain and simple.

Character: Simply having a Barber or Ripper Doc that focuses on Plastic Surgery would be a huge improvement in the game. Also i would like to be able to customize what tattoos are going onto my body and have more choices than a few presets.

Weapons: Overall, they do a decent job with weapons. My only complaint is to be able to customize the paint jobs on your iron, especially Iconic weapons that are bland.

Armor: As for Armor, they have severely let me down. As you explore Night City you'll find NPCs with so many cool outfits. They have so many with cool colors and designs, but i want you to do one thing. Forget about ever looking that cool because you're going to look like a potato in comparison. NPCs have access to some of the most amazing clothing that the Devs do not allow V to wear.

Vehicles: Granted, i don't want to pay 500 eddies every time i scratch my car. However, being able to change the Paint Job or adding a Supercharger or Turbo onto a car you like would be a huge improvement.

Cybernetics: Almost every NPC in the game has a gold forearm or a silver hand. Hell, there is a character in the game who doesn't even have skin anymore, its just chrome from head to toe! All you're allowed to do is put gold or silver on your teeth, and if you don't do it while creating your character, then you cant have it at all. No chrome limbs for you!

Style: My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined. I was under the impression that we would be able to select a style for our V. I was under the impression that the Style Over Substance selection would allow us to have Illuminated Tattoos. I was under the impression we might become so rich we could also replace over skin with chrome. Looks like i was mistaken.

Housing: You start off with an apartment which cannot be customized. No rearranging, no color schemes, no customization hardly at all. On top of that you can not purchase any real estate at all. No house in the hills or glorious mansion for you, just crashing at your place or your buddies place.

This game has potential!! I am assuming this game will base everything from the Player's Handbook, and possible DLC including the other books/expansions later. The character customization is in depth and is almost an exact replica of creating a 5E DnD character. As of right now there are six classes, several races with only a few missing in the character creation menu, but pretty much everything else is there. One thing to keep in mind, the game is still in Early Access and is extremely buggy right now.

PROS
+Baldur's Gate 3 (FINALLY!!!)
+If you are familiar with 5E DnD you will be very familiar with the mechanics (slight differences), it plays like the Tabletop Version.
+Amazing voice acting and character models, it truly is impressive.
+Almost everything that you encounter has been modified slightly from what the veteran players would expect. This gives a new outlook (and a lot of inspiration) to the world of DnD.
+Just about every NPC, major and minor, has a unique cinematic dialogue screen. This gives a unique feeling to even the NPCs you may only meet once.

CONS
-Not everything is implemented as of yet. Wizard's only have two schools to choose from, Clerics only have three domains, Etc. Larian is adding more, it will just take time.
-The world is very unforgiving. Be prepared to die, a lot (depending on outlook this is a Pro).
-Ranged combat can be a bit frustrating, you may hit the ground just beside the target.

ISSUES
-Game is still very buggy, here are a few of the glitches i have run into within 13 hours (This is mostly to help the Game Devs if they happen to come across this review):
-Sometimes a body will rag doll into the ground, thus expanding/warping/mutilating the body into an abomination that expends against your whole screen. Good luck looting these bodies as their position of death is where your mouse must hover over to loot. (Pro: this is hilarious the first few times)
-Unsure of how i did it and i have not been able to replicate as of yet. When my character rolled a perception check the dice symbol became stuck hovering over my characters head. A simple Save > Exit > Relaunch fixed the issue.
-The cinematic screens are super bugged. Sometimes you'll be listening behind a wall, sometimes there are two NPCs, sometimes you have dialogue options even though the NPC isn't done speaking, sometimes the NPCs get stuck in certain animations and the worst one by far happened to me today: I recreated my character because i made some questionable decisions with, well, everything. Anyway, I came to a big story scene and started walking up. At the last second i realized i hadn't saved in a while, so naturally, i tried to turn around before it put me in the cinematic dialogue screen so i could save, in case things did not go as I wanted. When i turned around it put two of my party members in the dialogue screen but I and another party member were not. It did not let me save, and in addition, when i tried to join the conversation it wouldn't let me. So, to try and go through the dialogue and deal with the outcome, i tried to switch to one of the characters that were in the conversation. When i did, it removed them from the conversation, so naturally, i tried to control the other character in conversation and when i did my screen turned black. After about 5 seconds my screen reappeared under the floor and all i could were my feet. I could move around, i could click "4" (my firebolt button) and i could hear myself start to cast but I couldn't actually click anything/anyone, my camera was frozen, my UI disappeared, and my only option was to reload.

My favorite encounter so far (WARNING HUGE SPOILER):
1. Talk to the three people digging/panicking.
2. Roll below target DC to have them snap out of it.
3. Barely survive the fight.
4. Realize they were trying to save a Mind Flayer.
5. Try to kill the Mind Flayer.
6. Roll a Wisdom save to resist his mind control.
7. Roll a Nat 1.
8. Uh-Oh.jpg
9. Offer your brain as a tasty snack.
10. ???
11. Reload your save the next day after you have calmed down.

Look, i've put far too many hours into this game to give anyone a half-a** review. If you want to die, over and over again. This just might be your game. If you want to be submerged in a pool of toxic players who want nothing more than to eat your raw flesh, this might be your game. If you are finally able to build the base you dreamt of for ages, just to watch it be torn down by the boys up the hill. This might your game.

Rust is not for the feint of heart. If you are deterred easily then this game is not for you. You will want to bring youir friends or make them along the way. YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE ALONE. While, yes, some people do. It is not recommended... Tell your half-wit friend whos still playing league of legends to get the f*** off that stupid game so you two can run around naked bashing peoples brains in with rocks. Doesn't that sounds fun?

If you decide this game is for you, here is my guide: Don't have neightbors, kill them before they kill you. Build small then add on and redecorate. Kill or be killed, NO ACCEPTION. Defend your base to the best of your ability, the more traps and off the wall build scruture the better (if they can not guess where your loot is that is ideal). If you can get REALLY good with a bow you will be racking in the loot.

Best of luck you beach nakeds. I'll be waiting up the hill with my guns just to shoot your a** for fun!

Serious moment, the game has some serious lag issues but thats expected when the game requires a Titan to run the damn thing in ultra. Fun game though. Lots of dying, wasting hours/days taming a single dinosaur, and of course wasting weeks/months trying to level up/build a base. HIGHLY RECOMMEND finding a server where gathering is multiplied by x2 at the least.

Early Access Unoptimized Rating:
8.5/10

It has the potenial to become a great game if it can be better optimized and some soul crushing glitches can be fixed.
