There's something that's so endearing to play a literal villain/anti-villain archetype that is a living, breathing imagination of a vampire that you'd see get portrayed in an over-the-top graphic novel. The voice lines are so unapologetically corny and self aware which creates a consistent and riffable style to the game's dialog. The art direction of this game is spot on and maintains a wonderful consistency across every biome you run across while still maintaining each area's unique aesthetic.

At the risk of sounding reductive, this game has a loop that'd gel well with people who are fans of Diablo III, Valheim, and Terraria. Making unique builds is extremely accessible and doesn't require hours of theory crafting to make work; all the skills and passives feel surprisingly balanced, though some builds may require a bit more time invested to make work than others.

A majority of the bosses are fairly challenging in Brutal difficulty, but my main complaint is that there are still some that are still too easy, despite having pretty interesting mechanics. I wish the game gets a bit more challenging with further development, but otherwise I'd personally give this a 9/10 in its own category.
