Chances are, you've heard that decade old cry for Half-Life 3. Half-Life 2 is an old game, but still is far past fun enough for todays standards. When it first came out, it promised to be a proper sequel to the equally well known Half-Life of 1998. What it actually did was smash everybodies expectations, with good reason. I'll admit it; when Half-Life 2 was released, I was probably still learning how to spell. Despite that, it's age never offput me.

It has fantastic combat where you aren't rigid, but you dont slide around and bob like you're having a stroke, like more recent games. Although it's weaponry isn't as various and bizarre as it's predecessor, that doesn't mean it's any less fun to fill alien S.O.B's with glowing hot rebar. Each gun is useful from start to finish, doing massive damage with limited ammo, as compared to the plentiful peashooters like the shotgun and smg of the original Half-Life.

The story of Half-Life 2 builds off of where Half-Life ended, expanding into a massive story of conflict going far beyond the one free man. Overall, Half-Life 2 is an amazing game, and a must-play.
