Underwhelming for the price. The only way you get more than 3 hours of gameplay out of this is if you do all achievements, in which case you're just annoyed they added more achievements retroactively after you already beat the game years ago.

Despite having 400+ hours in this game, my regret is immense and my dissapointment in myself is immeasurable.

- - - Giving you a breakdown of what most of that time is - roughly the last quarter of it is messing around with mods,
while the majority is Survival Mode grinding.
When all is said and done, if it weren't for Survival mode I would have quit at the 20-something hour mark.
Outside of Survival mode and mods, the game gets really repetitive.

- - - Here's what daily Fallout 4 looks like:
Step 1. Go to location A.
Step 2. Kill everything.
Step 3. Loot items with glue so you can huff it.
Step 4. Go to your Base.
Step 5. Build another momument to your Autism with your leftover glue.
Step 6. Have Sex with your Big-Tiddy-Anime-Goth-GF-Waifu-Follower™

Step 7. Rinse
Step 8. Repeat

- - - And don't get me started on the story.
In contrast, when I played FO:NV, I really felt torn on what faction to help no matter which play through it was. But with FO4 it always feels so meaningless and un-impactful, no matter what you choose since all the factions and their leaders are Two-dimensional.
-- The institute is a bunch of literal basement-dwelling incels who only make Synths so they can have Robot Waifus.
-- The Railroad are a bunch of autistic NAP hippies.
-- The Brotherhood of Steel are technology-hoarding children who don't want anyone else on the playground having their cool toys.
-- And the Minutemen are too busy jerking off about their minecraft settlements to be relevant.
- - - Basically the only decision you make with factions is who you don't want to fight at the endgame when they send patrols. And my money is on The Brotherhood of Steel since 95% of the time they just sent Kamikaze Vertibirds at you.

- - - Then you got the followers, which usually are a highlight in the Fallout series. But again, most of them here will fall flat, with maybe the exception of Nick Valentine and Strong.
And you can't even ROMANCE STRONG, LIKE WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥

- - - And then, finally, the killing blow that ties this dung heap together, is the dialogue. It's one massive step down from just about everything else in the series.

Here is what your dialogue box will look like:

UP : What? / Why? / What's a paladin? / Where is [#_LOCATION]? / SHAUN? / What's a newspaper?

LEFT: Something smug / Something snappy / I'l help you for more caps / Yes, but sarcastic / What's the deal with newspapers?! (laugh track)

TL;DR Dialogue sux, followers sux, factions sux, game sux

This game is amazing, but I have to stress something ---
Do not purchase this game on Steam.

Initially, trying to launch the game resulted in crashes to desktop.
So after spending half an hour or so searching for a fix, and implementing said fixes, I successfuly launched the game only to be greeted by insanely low FPS -- and so after spending another half hour looking for a fix for that, I finally re-launched the game and could finally play it, but not really because it still kept crashing on the most basic actions.
Here's a list of when it would crash for me, even after the fixes:

• Crashes on launch.
  
• Crashes on New Game.
  
• Crashes on Save Game.
  
• Crashes on Alt Tab.
  
• Crashes when I try to open Task Manager.
  
• In addition, some Random Crashes when I wasn't even doing anything.

TL;DR - Steam isn't actually selling you Gothic, they're selling you a jarbled broken mess of parts that somewhat resembles Gothic, and for 12 bucks more than GOG.

But don't worry, the 12 bucks is a Premium for getting a DIY version of Gothic.

This game is amazing, and as someone who grew up with a variety of stealth games including Thief 2 this game did not dissapoint me when I played it - it is amazingly atmospheric, mechanically sound and an all around great purchase, the only real issue is the fact that I had to purchase this game on a different platform to play it.

Since Steam is incompitent and does not know how to optimize games that are pre-2006 there is a decent possibility that when you buy the game it will viciously keep crashing, run poorly despite having a good PC or most frequently - deny you the ability to Climb Ladders and Pick Locks (i.e. you can't get past the tutorial) which is usually an issue related to either not enabling vsync or not reducing your monitor's refresh rate (but appearantly not for me.)

Your options:
1. Buy it on Sale
2. Gamble the chance that the game will be virtually unplayable
3. Buy it on GOG dot com¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Completely not worth it. The unified content of the Season Pass at BEST is worth 30€. Only 2 of the DLCs are actual content, that being Far Harbor and Nuka-world, both of which are overpriced in retrospect of how much content they provided me with, aswell as being genuinely underwhelming in comparison to previous Fallout DLCs.
The rest of the DLC is a bunch of Settlement trash, that could have been easily bundled for less than 10€.

Note: I have over 340 hours in the game, only around 5-10% of that time was playing the DLC, yet the price of the Season Pass almost rivals the actual game price.

TL;DR - Use mods or wait for FO4 GOTY edition.
