Grace Ashcroft is an FBI analyst and is highly regarded by her boss. So much so that the next investigation he is appointing to her is to resolve a series of murders, where all the victims have the same type of marks on their skin. The last corpse was found in an abandoned hotel in the city of Wrenwood, the same establishment where she saw her mother slain several years ago. Despite the terrible memories, she bravely takes on the case. As she slowly makes her way through the silent, damaged building, her heart pounds louder and her breathing grows heavier. She is scared, but that is only the beginning of Resident Evil Requiem!

Resident Evil Requiem is a third-person action and survival horror game developed and self-published by Capcom on the 27th of February 2026 on the Steam platform. The game is also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

As a big fan of the series, I couldn't wait to play this game, and I must say that I was blown away straight from the start. And the more I played it, the more I liked it. The fine balance between the survival horror and action in this game is just perfect, thanks to the mixed gameplay provided by the two main characters, Grace and Leon.

On one hand, you'll need a more cautious approach while playing Grace. Leon, on the other hand, will be more action-based. The first area, Wrenwood, is all Grace until Leon makes his entrance towards the end. In two of the main areas you'll visit, you'll be regularly swapping between the two characters. The Rhode Hill Chronic Care Centre will see you mostly playing Grace, and it will be a 50/50 split in the ARK area. The Raccoon City area will be all about Leon and full of action!

The other differences between the two characters are the ability to hold items in inventory and the requirements for crafting new items. Grace will start with a small number of slots in her inventory. The number of slots will increase by two each time she finds a hip pouch. Three hip pouches are in the Rhode Hill Chronic Care Centre. One is in the Parlour Room, but you'll need some antique coins to acquire it. The others will be somewhere in the Clinic. Make sure to investigate all the rooms thoroughly for these coins and other goodies. Leon's inventory slots are far bigger than Grace's and can store larger weapons and more items. It is essential to know that Grace can store and retrieve items in the safe rooms, but Leon can't!

The crafting system is simple and easy to use. Grace needs one important element to be able to craft some new items - infected zombie blood. Access infected blood by using the blood collector on dead zombies or in buckets full of blood, and yes, the apparatus can only hold a certain amount of blood. Every time you craft something with Grace, you’ll need to refill the collector with more blood.

For Leon, gunpowder is the important item for crafting.

The zombies are really good in this game, ranging from human to monster-sized. Some zombies keep the same habits as before they got infected. The maid and the cook at the Clinic are great! The cook is chopping meat in the kitchen, and the maid is trying to clean toilets full of blood. I also like the soldiers with the machine guns in Raccoon City.

The combat is good; rewarding and constant all the way through. You'll encounter different zombies throughout the game. You have limited ammunition and melee weapons all the way through. However, it will feel more pronounced at the Rhode Hill Clinic, and it will be imperative to parry attacks effectively, then follow up with a kick or a push. That will allow you to flee or create space, giving you more time to better aim whichever firing weapon is at hand. If you push/kick a zombie towards another one, it will also move backward, very cool!

The Raccoon City area is full of action, but not over the top, which is great! I thoroughly enjoyed it as it has a couple of surprises. The motorcycle chase was fun, and I also liked the part where Leon revisited the Police station where his career started in Resident Evil 2!

There are two boss fights, one for each character, and they are decent enemies; it took me a couple of goes to kill them. The second one was quite challenging, I must say!

The graphics are stunning, and the chilling atmosphere is incredible from start to finish. It probably reached its peak while playing Grace. However, her continuous whimpering began to irritate me after a while. Leon was my saviour every time I played him. The story was great, and it fit brilliantly within the series. Great voice acting overall, but sometimes it was not synchronised properly with the characters' mouths in some of the cutscenes. The puzzles were average, but apart from that, it was smooth sailing!

Your name is Tonio, the Pizzaiolo. This profession was passed down to you by your grandfather, who you are very fond of. You haven't seen much of each other for quite some time, as you are based in Italy and he in America. The latest news you receive about him is from your cousin Alfonso, who works at his pizzeria. Sadly, your grandfather has passed away, but he’s left you the ownership of the restaurant. Mamma mia, what are you going to do? Jump on a plane and conquer the Americas with your Pizzaiolo skills, of course!

Pizza Slice is a first-person cooking simulation developed by Quest Craft/Gaming Factory and published by Gaming Factory and Ultimate Games on the 14th of March 2026 on the Steam Platform at this stage. Other platforms might be on the cards in the future.

I want to note that this review is based solely on my single-player experience. However, the game has a co-op mode where you can play the campaign with a friend, and the Inferno Kitchen mode, where you compete over three rounds to earn stars.

The campaign mode has three difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard. As I am a newcomer to the pizza business and have some organisational skills, I decided to start at the medium difficulty level and let me tell you, I was sweating in front of my screen as soon as I turned my pizzeria sign to open for business!

The campaign lasts around twenty days. At the start, it will be quite smooth with a comfortable learning curve, but that will only last one day. The next six days will definitely test your organisational skills as you will not only make the pizza from start to finish - making the dough, cutting and placing the ingredients and cooking the pizza to perfection - but you'll have to serve your customers, clean the tables and make all the ingredient purchases as well! There are other things to do, such as cleaning the floor and washing the dishes, but you can delegate these tasks to your cousin Alphonse. You can ask him to stand outside your pizzeria with a marketing sign, too, but his favourite task is to sit down and do nothing. After a week of stress in the kitchen and serving, your cousin Sofia will become your waitress to help manage the floor! But no, the rival pizzeria is trying to sabotage your restaurant – they’ve put a closed sign in front of your establishment! And they’ve even dropped a stink bomb to get rid of your customers. Be sure to destroy the sign or pick up the stink bomb before it explodes. You'll be notified on your screen when these issues arise. Other unwanted events provide challenges, such as are the visits of the food inspector, and when ingredients are not available to purchase, which forces you to change your menu. Make sure you create custom pizzas with different ingredients so you can always offer a selection to your customers, rather than relying on the well-known Margherita.

Let's have a look at the environment and surroundings. The kitchen is divided into four rooms. The kitchen itself, which has a wooden pizza oven, a sink for Alphonso, a place to store cut ingredients, a shelf to lay out the ingredients on your pizza dough, a shelf to store the most used daily ingredients, and ten work stations (only a few are used with equipment at the start), the office, the back storage room with a refrigerator and other shelves, and, of course, the floor (where the tables are). You can use the work stations for making dough, cutting ingredients, and keeping clean plates to take the pizza from the oven to the customers.

Outside is a square with a market for fresh ingredients and charcuterie. The pizza dough shop has all the ingredients for making dough, drinks and a couple of other goodies. You also have the equipment store, the décor shops, and, of course, the annoying rival pizzeria next door. You'll also have a couple of slot machines, which you can use if you have spare money. You might end up with more cash, but you could equally score rotten foods or maybe get a stink boom to use on the rival pizzeria (oh, I like that!). It is also a good idea to check the square on a daily basis, as some days there’ll be crates of fresh ingredients or cans left on the street, and you can pick them up for free. Mamma mia, thank you, Madonna!

Ultimately, you need to sell as many pizzas as possible to pay Sofia, pay your rent, and have enough money to purchase ingredients to live through another day. But don't forget that your customers will be judging your pizza-making skills. Make sure the dough is well mixed, then shape it into the correct pizza, add the right amount of sauce and the right number of each ingredient, and cook it to perfection. If it ticks all the boxes, generous tips will follow and be welcomed for the well-being of your restaurant.

The campaign's story is light-hearted and fun. The graphics are good, and the Italian music really amplifies the Italian atmosphere. I used my mouse and keyboard for my playthrough, and you can change the key bindings to suit you, which is a good feature. Alternatively, you can play with a gamepad, though I haven't tried it.
