Makes a lot of improvements on Sunless Seas, e.g. dodging and strafing in combat, more regions, more interaction between the events on the map and events at ports and a really immersive level up system.

If you like Sunless Sea, Fallen London or heavily story based games, Sunless Skies is probably great for you.

However, it is still rather slow and requires a time investment. It consists of sailing around and then reading through a text based interface. If you're looking for something fast-paced, high action or mechanically intensive, Sunless Skies might not be for you.
