Guys i have a question, what is the best ship?

I recently played the demo for "Sea of Rifts" and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was somewhat forgiving in the sense that your captain keeps all his experience. So yes dying is a real gut punch, your base competency slowly improves. On top of being able to take 3 things with you. Does Sunless Skies have the same system or similar? If it's the same itch, I can jump into this as a feature complete game and save Sea of Rifts for later....

Hey, just wanted to ask if you choose the truth goal, whether you can play through all story the game has to offer, or whether you need to start a separate game for the martyr king's cup.

Meaning which should I buy in map 1? Is it better to save for the moloch class, or is it a waste of money and you're better off getting something cheaper?
