I really tried to give this game a fair chance, I really did.
But everything about this game is somehow worse than the first game.
The combat, atrousious, janky trash that gets hard mogged by a bunch of Turkish guys who can barely code,
the story falls apart 1/3 into the game,
every single immersion addition is tedious.
All in all, a genuine 5/10, do not even bother buying it.

Not fun, play DS2 instead

Pirate the game and mod the combat.

I would recommend buying if not for the horrible combat

Not full release,
same bugs no additions.

Play Warband with mods

Just pirate it until they fix the performance

Prettier than previous titles but with worse gameplay.

It is fundamentally a different game, it might look like Monster Hunter but plays like a hack n' Slash Title, if you are looking for the old MH experience I would advise you to emulate them.

+Looks pretty
+Many quality of life changes (removing unnecessary tools, no loading screen, tracks instead of paintballs, etc.)
+It's MH on PC

-The end game is bad, the best fights are hidden behind a +30 hour grind without real reason besides increasing playtime
-Monsters are annoying to deal with and newer ones straight up bypass core defensive mechanics
-Turning the game into a pseudo MMO with AEO Spam, instant death mechanics, and DPS checks

the weapon design is lazy, most armor is lame and I want the lolita palico set without having to wait a year for the next event :(

Dices are not truly random

TL:DR:
Half the content got removed and was replaced by a lackluster system that isn't fun.
