Spaceman 最近的评测

Literally cannot play this game. Ever since it's came out, nothing but constant crashes in the middle of the match, or at startup. I have tried so, so many times to solve this issue, to no avail. I haven't played in many months because of this. I recently got a completely new system, and since I thought maybe it's been awhile, maybe they had fixed these issues. Or, maybe with my new build I can run it with no issues. Nope. First game, crash (Yakisoba_Win64_Shipping EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00007ff7865a61e0 error). I look up a solution to this, people say to add an exception to the game folder in windows firewall / virus protection. I do this, boot it up again, and bam another game crashes with the same error.

I haven't been able to play a single full game since I bought this, and it's way too late to refund it. I wanted to love this game because I love Starship Troopers, but the devs have had well over a year to fix these constant crashes, and yet they have not.

Terrible.

I couldn't stop playing this game. It was just so good. I didn't want it be over, but like all things good, it must come to an end.

Feudal Japan, Samurai, Historical Fiction, Katanas, kunai, flaming swords and bows, it's got it all. Beautiful until the very end. Challenging and rewarding, never felt like I was being immensely overwhelmed or underwhelmed by objectives and missions, except a couple of points, but you can play however you see fit. The only thing that was somewhat tedious was the amount of cutscenes, and how long some of them were. It's the directors cut so it's probably longer than the original version in that sense. But overall, a beautiful game with a good story and great content.

Took me about 42 hours to beat the campaign, while also doing side objectives, leveling up, getting better gear, and fighting off all the random mongols. I really hope there's a second game, because I don't think we'll see a game like this again for a long time, if ever.

AMD USERS BEWARE

Apparently, this is just another game that is horribly incompatible with AMD hardware. It's 2024 I don't know why this is still an issue at all. It's most likely due to the actual Malware that is the DRM / Anti-cheat software this game uses. I couldn't even get passed the "choose language / audio" screen without it crashing my entire PC and causing BSODs / black screens and system lockup. It even was messing with other parts of my PC. For some reason, it screwed up my audio drivers and was randomly changing my audio level (not even sure how that's possible.)

I unfortunately had to refund it, I was looking forward to playing this game so much, cause it looks amazing. That's my luck though, my dreams always get crushed by those damn BUGS!



UPDATE 1 -
Turns out, my CPU was just being overloaded when trying to play this game (and one or two others, for some reason.) It was a simple fix, all I had to do was underclock my CPU and change a few settings in my BIOS. The game is actually super fun now that I'm able to play, but I still absolutely hate the anti-cheat, my opinion still remains on that. Haven't actually had any crashes since I made the changes, so god-willing I'll be able to keep playing without issue. Will update my review to recommend with more testing and playtime.


Update 2 -
Been playing a lot more lately, and also upgraded to a Rog Strix RTX 3070. Much better game quality and FPS with the newer GPU. Was fine on the 2070 but could realistically only play on medium for the best FPS. With the new one, can play on high or ultra, but high is best (not much visual difference to me either way). Very fun game, I hope they add more to it eventually because it does get repetitive. But either way, spreading democracy is a hell of a drug!

I can't even play the game. Constantly either crashes or just gets stuck on the cam-corder loading screen. Sound doesn't work on this game for some reason? I boot it up and it works for a minute, then just stops working, and there's no way to even choose what device to use, so you can't edit it or do anything useful.

I can't load into a multiplayer game because of the loading screen bug, and can't even play a single player game because of the same problem.

Gaijin has absolutely destroyed the economy within this game. They have made it extremely pay-to-win. They have made the tech trees even more difficult and require much more grinding, which I wouldn't mind if I it was possible to play casually without having to purchase premium time and premium vehicles just to get experience points and silver lions (the main currency.) If you want to play casually or free-to-pay, this is not the game for you, until Gaijin does something to fix the economy. They probably won't though, because they have become extremely greedy and are forcing long time players away from the game. They've even done this to their other games such as Enlisted (which is still in beta mind you, and its already very P2W.)

Hands down one of my favorite games. There is always something to do and items to collect, never a dull moment. Definitely worth the buy, especially the game of the year edition.
