UPD: I haven't played the game after the recent updates yet but I see nice QoL changes and genuine care from the developers and that warrants changing the review to positive.

Below is the original review I wrote a while back. Dunno if it's representative of the current state of the game or not but am keeping it for now.

I really wish there was a neutral rating.

It's beautiful, a lot of things are quite polished. Campaign was entertaining at first, but I grew tired of it much faster than I've expected.

Missions are either:
1) you got somewhere, time to conquer stuff.

Nothing wrong with that, except that one mission vs Crusade where you literally NEED three fully equipped armies attacking one after another to take down their capital.

2) EVERYTHING IS HORRIBLE, GOTTA RUN.

This happens twice.

3) Stealth segment

Need I say more?

4) EVERYTHING IS HORRIBLE, BUT THERE'S NOWHERE TO RUN

At one point the game literally fast forwards you like "there was a lot of fighting but bad guys came over and all hope is almost lost" and it's already the final battle of the map lmao

Forced stealth? Timers? Alright, I can bear with that. But...

The last mission I couldn't finish. Enemy is advancing from all sides, I have three heroes with literally zero units on each, barely any income from the cities (why? how?), it's frustrating to the point of just not wanting to finish the game. Okay, I have three heroes, I can get the fourth, even. They all need 10+ units to be useful. My entire kingdom brings in less than 100 gold per turn and even less in other resources. Most units cost more than 100 gold and also need other resources. There's almost nowhere to expand to improve economy and this still requires units that I don't have the funds to buy,

Why would I bother? Maybe there's a deus ex machina somewhere down the line. Maybe I'm supposed to guide Murnau to the bird's location on another map and this magically resolves all my problems. Maybe. But this is bull. I don't want to play a game so terribly stacked against me in a non-believable way. How about I just don't have access to that part of the map, then? So it doesn't feel like I'm supposed to do something when I can't.

Of course there's a chance I'm missing something obvious and making a fool of myself while writing this. But even that one mission with the Crusade's capital was better cause the player can build up the economy and slowly advance through infinitely respawning full stacks of enemies (also bull btw) and make the final push. Here the game gives me control but at the same time doesn't give me resources to oppose the enemy.

Another topic is performance: Crusade absolutely tanks it. I don't know what's up with the shaders on those units but fps drops are severe whenever I fight any. I don't have such problems in other games,

Anyway.. idk. Had some fun but there's a reason why there are so many reviews torn between being positive or negative. Will follow the updates and change this review once the game gets better.

Отлично, но весь DLC контент не работает.

Поставил убунту, так как на винде не запускалась. 10/10 за кроссплатформенность
