The negative reviews appear (to me) to be written by those who haven't taken the time to learn the curve. I'm only 30 hours in and I have no issue playing, gathering, fighting and extracting. The game is very fun, there are lots of recipes, factions to improve, unique mechanics to the extraction RPG genre and a wide variety of monsters and loot. Their roadmap boasts huge improvements to an already great game, and I can't wait to see what's to come. As the game sits, my brother and I have fun playing together and have actually had nice encounters with other players in the game. Use a mic and talk to people you meet in game. Sometimes they're dagger rogues who just want to kill you, and other times they are groups of friendly adventurers just out to hunt large monsters and treasure. Gameplay feels nice and the developers are active and aggressively pursuing their roadmap content. Wizard class + more content update is on the way within a month from writing this review. I recommend this game. It stays true to the fantasy RPG feel and offers a fun extraction gaming experience. Smart itemization (pretty much everything has a use or value), fun crafting, quests, very active Discord server, vendor reputation to grind that allows unlocking new purchase items and crafting. There's a home base "Lodge" where you live and you can unlock further utility like a bed for rested experience, a cooking station to cook food that provides benefits while you're in-game, an ossuary where you can donate bones and special items to gain more rep with vendors, a crafting station to make a litany of support items and much more, with more to come! Pick the game up and support development, join their Discord server and meet some folks! The community actually gets to know you if you chat with them. In fact, I've seen many occasions where someone will post in the Discord some items they got from killing another player and offer them to come get their stuff back. It's definitely got a unique feel to both the game and community. Check it out!

Feels and plays so good already! Can't wait to see the rest of the implementations! Great game, highly recommended. Huge burst of nostalgia and fun fun fun!

Simplicity of use and excellent quality visualizers! I love it and use it in my starting scene on Twitch. By the way, F1 brings up the help menu, which is nice.

Imagine an early access title that doesn't play like an early access title. Where do I begin? Want NPC enemies that have unique behaviors? Incredibly deep construction system allowing you to build nearly any sort of base you could imagine. Deep lore, well written dialog, beautiful scenery, lighting effects. Runs well on lower-end pc's. Very fun game to play by yourself, but incredibly fun with friends. Your character persists and can join other servers with what they are wearing with no issues. This is the survival/community game I've been waiting on. It is a PVE game that is done right, but also allows for manual flagging for PVP. Great game, if you're into this genre you should pick it up in early access before they raise the price.

Wolcen improves upon the overhead isometric perspective hack n slash loot smorgasbord! I have played them all, and have been playing PC games since the 80's. Wolcen provides a fresh, fun, raw experience that takes literally ALL of the good from other games and does away with ALL of the bad while managing to innovate and build upon solid foundations. Having the choice to be male or female, and create ANY character class combination is just incredible. The freedom to play how you want and the whole cosmetic system is total perfection. What a fabulous game we have in Wolcen and I can't wait to see what else is in store.

Very satisfying classic MMORPG where community counts and the experience is hardcore, but not inaccessible or hard to experience. It is already fun to get in and play, and is quite an impressive feat for the currently solo developer. I like this game and I have already made new friends playing it. I am looking forward to experiencing more Reign.
