Just installed it to check. On the 3rd planet you unlock you'll see the circle in the top right that's the timer for seasons.

On the later planets there is a timer and as it runs out the seasons change. I can't recall specifically what level this starts occurring on though. I want to say possibly level 15, but I might be misremembering.
