Honestly, I’m just glad there are still games like this out there. Fantastic story, characters you actually care about, dialogue that hits, and satisfying gameplay. The atmosphere and scenery are seriously astonishing. Not to forget the soundtracks. Can't wait to finish it.

If you expect a working game, don't buy. This is not a working early access build. Way too many game breaking bugs, latency issues, infinite zombies spawning right in your face at objectives, voice chat sounds horrible or doesn't work at all etc. etc.
If you want to help the devs turning this game into what it should be, by giving proper bug reports, definitely get it.
If instead you just liked NMRIH1 and you expect this to be something similar, don't get it. It's just not. It could literally have a different name.
Just played a bit more and it's actually very fun despite all the bugs.

Update: Reanimation update made the game severly better. I would suggest buying now, if you like such games. Definitely worth it. Friends make it better, but I played solo a bit as well and it's totally fine.

The DLC is very enjoyable, offering a lot of fun and engaging content. Most of the new bosses feature a moveset that is satisfying to dodge and punish, despite their lengthy attack chains.
The world design is also enjoyable to explore. There are many new, interesting, and fun weapons, weapon arts, and spells to discover, as well as many elements that offer new insights into the lore or old creatures (e.g., warrior jars).
There have been some stuttering issues since the DLC was released, which can be a bit annoying, especially in bossfights. Additionally, the camera lock-on for some bosses can be a little bit frustrating, but it's manageable.

Wouldn't recommend it, if you get frustrated from dying over and over again to the same boss or hate the feeling of not understanding on how to dodge a certain attack at all.
For everyone else it's great!

I spend every day at uni and work. On my weekends, I'm forced by my friends to play goalie.
It's lowering my mental state quite alot.

10/10 though.

It’s the first time I’m leaving a negative review on a game I actually enjoy. Not because the core gameplay is bad, but because the developers seem incapable of making thoughtful, balanced changes, and instead just keep pinballing the power between sides.

I don’t even want to waste too much time explaining every terrible decision they’ve made, since anyone who actually plays the game already knows. But let me use the most recent example.

We all know some maps are killer-sided and others are survivor-sided. That’s nothing new. But instead of addressing these specific maps and making SMALL, careful adjustments, they gave us a completely unnecessary “pallet density QOL patch” that NO ONE needed and NO ONE asked for. This made killers significantly weaker, especially M1 killers, and punished mindgaming, arguably the most fun and fair part of looping.

So what happened? The community complained, rightfully so. But instead of reverting the change and focusing on balancing the problematic maps, they swung the hammer in the opposite direction and over-nerfed pallets. Now on many maps, despite still having 8 pallets next to each other, each one might as well be the size of my thumb. (Yes, I’ll spam Wraith now, because mindgaming pallets has never been easier.)

What I don’t understand is why, after all these awful patches, including this one, the reviews are still positive. At this point, the game should be getting review-bombed so the devs finally start listening, like what happened with Helldivers. This community is just way too accepting of getting pegged every single patch, both killer and survivor.
