To be fair... I'd hold onto your money (for now). I understand its early days but the game in its current state isn't enjoyable, being brutally honest. To keep it short, graphics are superb. No doubts there. However, the driving aspect is a major let down. The game just simply doesn't provide that feeling of driving a bus. Instead, I feel as though I'm driving a car. Engine sounds ain't anything to be running home about either. Likewise, I understand its early days, we shall see what the future holds...

It's 10.12.2020, 45 minutes or so after release. 4 years worth of delays... was it worth it? Yes.

Just buy the DLC. End of review.

Well well well, looks like the team over at Studio Polygon have listened to their customers and taken on-board the advice given. Straight up, 10.9m E40D Voith is now a pleasure to drive, can just about tackle hills with ease and accelerate to speed in a realistic time. Interior sound levels still aren't perfect but they have definitely been amplified a touch. Also, gearing issues have been ironed out since initial release, alot smoother now. However, in the ZF versions, whilst stopping and going into auto-neutral the engine revs considerably more than it should. As a result of SP's quick reaction to the reviews of their product... I will now be turning my negative review to a positive!

Likewise, not the type of person to write reviews but seeing as I frequently commute on these buses I thought why not? Going start to this review on a positive note. Right, modeling is of superb quality, exterior and interior. Cannot fault it whatsoever, no doubt about it. On top of this, an array of reskin set-vars are available to match your desired operators specifications. Can't complain about the price, you get a range of variations for your money. To conclude, it's a very functional and customizable vehicle.


However... the audio, physics/scripting side of things are a let down. I feel as though it has been rushed and overlooked on in some areas. For instance, whilst driving the 10.9M Voith E40D variant I've came across a selection of issues. Not going to explain them all as this'll take ages but I'll be blunt.

-Gearbox seems jerky, frequently goes silent for a second or two when switching between gears.
-Interior sounds are way to quiet. (passenger footsteps shouldn't be able to override the engines audio)
-Struggles to tackle even the slightest of inclines.
-Feels under-powered, sluggish at moving off and getting to speed.


We shall see if future updates can fix these small issues. Until then, I'd hold onto your money.

10/10 would buy again.
