Mecha barbie, have fun.

Major disappoint. On top of what everyone else says, the neutered armor system sucks, the layering in the first game was better and provided more visual and build variety than this game, and the way stat distribution works is also worse. In DDDA, when you would level up, the stats you gained depended on the class you were playing when you leveled, so certain classes were better for leveling certain stats than others, now ultimately this did not matter to the average player, but to a lot of players, planning out the paths and the skills for endgame BBI runs was super fun. Buy DDDA, its cheaper and has 100 times the soul of this game.

First game has a stylized, Frostpunk logo, and a visually intriguing background.
Second game, plain font on a white background like every corporate company ever after 2011.
It might not seem it, but to me, having loved the first game, this sequel is immediately more bland than the first. So much so, that I refunded after I got to the second level.

The city building is hex based now, and not nearly as fun, unique or as involved as the first.

Atmospherically, I felt nothing, compared to the first. For reference, the first game was so atmospherically rich, it got me to immediately install and play Metro Exodus again, because the vibe of the bleak apocalyptic winter was just so enthralling.

Storywise, I didn't play long enough to see. It might be good, but from other reviews I've seen, it ends like a wet fart.

Chances are if you are here, you have probably already played and loved the first game. Keep it at that, honestly.
But if you are new and wondering what to play. Buy the first game! Its cheaper and better.

Some people will probably like it, not me though.

Game is lightning in a bottle that they couldn't catch for the sequel unfortunately. They AREN'T masterworks all...

Here's what your experience is gonna be:
1. Install game.
2. Do tutorial.
3. Struggle to find a match that isn't full.
4. Finally find one and join.
5. There is one squad available in game with nobody talking or communicating.
6. Spawn on a point near something???.
7. See nobody, run out of stamina 6 times getting to nowhere, and finally get shot from off screen and then wait 20s to respawn somewhere.

There is nothing here fun, beyond Galactic Contention. The main game is boring, you will walk somewhere, die, wait, respawn, repeat. 8 times out of 10 there will be less than 20 words spoken in your squad unless you luck out. The gunplay is not satisfying. The movement is gross. The Helicopter flight is horrid. (There will be one player in every lobby with 1000hrs who has mastered flying that ♥♥♥♥ and nobody else will have fun with it) Unless you have 300 hours in Arma (in which case, there is nothing special for you here, go back.) Don't bother with this game. Insurgency Sandstorm is, while not exactly the same, infinitely more enjoyable for someone who wants this type of experience. Or, even Hell Let Loose.

Tarkov and the subsequent explosion of extraction shooters have been a disaster for the games industry.

This greedy company finally getting the comeuppance they deserve for their slimy practices over the years. F*CK GAIJIN!

Super fun, reminds me of the old Gladiator flash games I would always play.
Just needs more content, different gamemodes, tasks, more intricate gameplay with the inventory system and all that.
Would love to see more historical gladiator armors, and perhaps a balancing system so its not the best case to use just the most protection cause thats really all the matters.
Buy the game if you like melee combat, customization, and gladiators.
