Very fun game, horrible community moderation. Something has to change with how the team moderates the community cause this just sucks. You don't dox someone for disagreeing with your opinion on the game, and then victim blame them, that's laughably childish behavior. Also banning people for being upset about game balance is ridiculous. Change your moderation team and your treatment to criticism of game balance.

Was neat as a little free game, but it gets old fast. Even when playing with the funniest people you know this game isn't much more than just "haha lets be funi and do a bit!". Once you get over the main gimmick of recording videos you can save it just gets kinda boring and I just can't recommend this game for anything more than free or a dollar.
It's not a "bad" game, I just don't think it's worth anything more than the that. And I hate to say it but.. just buy lethal company instead it's 2 dollars more at time of writing this and worth the price.

Never really played another other "souls" game before this. Had tried dark souls 3 and just didn't get into it. But this was the first game in a long long while to really wow me when I played it. The world is massive and packed with a lot of little things in a way that most open world games lack. There is still plenty of reused assets and repeated fights (and apparently some assets are from older souls games but idk about that). But still, game gave me a feeling similar to playing ocarina of time again.

The game is also quite replayable with how many different weapons and possible builds you can make BUTTTTT the game is so long that I find myself kinda dreading having to play it again for different endings or trying out different weapons. The weapon thing can be especially annoying since upgrading weapons costs a limited finite resource and if you upgrade a weapon there's no way to unupgrade it if you decide you actually want to change your build. Can sometimes make you feel like you are "stuck" with a certain build.
Also there's a good chance you've probably heard people wanting a "difficulty slider" and while I don't want that, it should be noted that certain builds are absolutely just easier than others. If you want to play this game on easy mode, use a dex-bleed or full magic build. (Which again this can kinda suck if you accidentally build your character to a build that is harder BUT that you find more fun. Of course there is an argument to be made that you should just play what is more fun, but players will almost always use the path of least resistance one they've learned of it.. even if it's less fun!).

Anyway to wrap this up if you want some extra fun with this game mods are a thing, and multiplayer mods are especially fun. Though it should be noted this isn't "officially supported", so ya know, risk and all that.

I initially wrote this game off as just another 1 week fad, but after playing it I was quite surprised by it's quality and replayability. Add on the fact the devs have continued to update the game I think I would be foolish to not recommend this game. Though keep in mind this game is best played with friends (idk how you wouldn't know that by just looking at but whatever). You can play it alone but the experience is not the same.
Also the devs appear to have quite a lot of fun with the community and seem genuinely like quite nice folks.

I just wanna state ahead of this review that on release this game was amazing. There was a short period of time where there was a lot of folks playing and nobody quite knew how to do everything. There was trolling but it felt a lot more "goofy" or lighthearted if that makes sense. The game has an incredibly atmosphere and while I'm not a huge fan of the cruelty squad inspired stuff it does sometimes really feel like a "living" city (lmao). There's a few things that feel like they are being weird just for the sake of being weird tho and it's kinda just lame.

Anyway this game is basically a job simulator but one with great atmosphere. Yes it basically boils down to just doing a "job" but the fun came from the interactions with other players and tiny little stories that would create. But with updates and changes in the community the game is basically just a job simulator now lol. Players don't really interact anymore and if they do it's almost always just negative.
This isn't totally the developers fault but at the same time it also feels like the devs don't really know what they want to do with this game. Every update that has come out in the last 6 months has just had me confused.

Anyway I wouldn't recommend picking this game up currently, maybe if there is a discount. If the game does see some updates that are worth checking out, alongside a resurgence in player count and the community isn't just being an ass to each other 24/7 it might be worth checking out. Till then this isn't really worth playing unless you want to learn new slurs from strangers on the internet (and you can do that for free elsewhere! Fun!)

Word of warning: This game was abandoned shortly after launch as the developers unfortunately had to go work on another game in order to secure more funding. I'm skipping a lot of information, this situation is complicated and I genuinely wish the best for the devs. RECENTLY, the devs have sorta made a comeback and have announced they are going to begin working on the game again. But as things stand the game is still pretty "dead" in terms of playerbase and updates.

Bought the game on launch and while it was very neat, it had a lot of little issues. There was a lot of missing features that were previously available in earlier non released versions. The game lacked any sort of reason to stick with it and play long term. It had a pretty cool ship building system that allows player to get pretty indepth with designs, but the repair and maintenance of such ships can be a complete slog. This combined with a lot of weird quirks with the building system means you sometimes spend hours doing something that should otherwise take a few minutes.

If the devs are truly coming back, I wish them best and I will be sure to check out how the development goes. I think they have a really good foundation here for the game, but as it stands this is not a game I can recommend.

I run into other people with moth or bug characters and it's almost a universal response for them to send a friend request to other players with bug characters. I think it's hardwired into our brains..

I also run into this scary guy named sparky the 1j, you gotta be careful when you see that guy.

They made a demo that feels like a proper game and provide it for FREE. There's really no reason not to try it.. other than if you don't have a controller. This game doesn't technically require one, but the keyboard controls are really rough.
Anyway play it with a controller and you'll be just fine, can be tricky and a bit difficult when you first play but stick with it and you'll understand the movement mechanics in due time.

Definitely give the steam page for the full game a look as well, it's not out as of writing this but if the demo is any indication of their quality I think the full game will be really really good!

Friend gifted me this game to play the multiplayer and it was a ton of fun (Thanks Val). Having rounds where we just kept chugging beers only to somehow win the round in the stupidest way possible was great. And besides the game being funny with friends, it does actually have a really good item system and "rules" to the game. It's unfair but equally unfair for all involved, you can get screwed over in the most unlucky of ways, but so can everyone else. Music is also really good and I find the art style to be a nice take on the grungy low poly style that seems to be popular right now.
