pros: aneurism iv has increadibly good art direction, atmosphere, and solid combat
and the scum are a pretty well designed and fun class

cons:
1 in a game where your supposed to roleplay and chose how you live there is comically little to no mechanics to role play or chose how you live with
2 the game relys WAY to much on the scum being both alive, and active for the rest of the classes to function and be almost enjoyable. if the scum arent in the game, the cops dont have anything to do, the liquidator/sanatar has nothing to fix or any rot to clear, and the medic has no one to heal and the dealer has no one to attempt to trade with. when the scum arent in the game it makes it so clear that at its core anerism iv has no fun, ingaging or intresting things to do that arent related to the scum
3 the cops arent given enough of a incentive or any means to track down contraband and people dealing it. so a fun mechanic like selling drugs or weapons becomes unintresting because without the cops giving you preasure there is no risk to the very minimal reward you get for dealing contraband. so in practice a high stakes drug dealer becomes just a dude
4 for EVERY paid neuteral fate (, liquidator, corpseman, dealer, banker) there so badly balanced in a way that you cant make a living or support yourself so you are forced to work the centeral 3 jobs that the prole works so its just useless to play them
5 dealer is a terribly designed class with no specific role play mechanics or anything to make his gameplay fun in a roleplay game. the dealer is supposed to be someone who sells ilicits like drugs or guns but he dosent have any mechanics that can make him sell drugs or guns. the only thing extra that he can do is fulfill orders that other people place in a computer. he is literally just a amazon warehouse slave
6.1 banker is ♥♥♥♥. he adds nothing to the game, costs 6 amnicites, and the role that he adds is so meaning less that since the games release it has become almost a cultural practice to murder them for no specific reason. once you learn to not starve or dehydrate you dont really need them and the tax that they have is just another kick in the ass.
6.2 unlike dealer, banker actually has a class specific craft called the capatron :) the capatron has unintresting or engaging gameplay that boils down to getting food (which you can buy with the money that the capatron creates) to feed the capatron
7 like the other 2 corpseman again has unintresting gameplay and the class specific job that he has (making medicine) pays so comically little that im pretty sure flashing my ♥♥♥♥ and balls in the times square could be more profitable. and the gameplay that making medicine has boils down to search trashcan 1, search trashcan 2, then you search trash can 3 and so on. and again like the other 2 you will just end up working the centeral 3 jobs that the prole works (laundry, metal works, dystilery)

please please dont waste your money on this game i genuinly am passionate about this game but the devs simply arent managing it enough and there are TONS of better indie games to mess around with

aneurism iv could be a fix for the stagnation of games like gary's mod. the problem is that the satire on capitalist dystopia ends up making the game a dismal experience. we have a game which could show us the potential for cooperation and the benefits we find from solidarity and mutual respect, but there are no significant regulations within the game to encourage those behaviors. the recent updates also seem to be focused more on inevitable collapse and how bad things can get than on encouraging players to actually operate shops or perform prole duties. basically every server i have joined has been either a ghost town or plagued with trolls, because the police dont have a proper system of identifying criminals even when they try their best. there are a lot of logistical problems here, and while i think some of them are intentionally problematic, it seems that we have enough problems in our real lives, and that people might want to at least have fun while playing a satire of their lived experience.

- let us report racism or bigotry to the police as a crime. yesterday someone shouted f****t and n****r then killed me, which is one of the reasons i am writing a negative review and gave up my patience with the problems listed below.

- please add a fix to remove deadfalls from walkways. yesterday i died 3 times in a row to the same drop where a ledge looks like there's a path below but instead has a small gap leading to a fan, just before being able to afford an apartment. the visual aesthetics are commendable, but sometimes things look too samey and this can make remembering hazards a little too difficult if we are rushing about performing tasks like ants all the time.

- you cant make it by working legitimately because its too easy to troll or sabotage without any benefit to that troll. even if i play as a criminal or cultist, im still unable to make much progress unless the server is flooded enough to cause a zerg. this makes the entire game seem pointless, and not in a funny or poignant way. even as a cop you tend to get killed around the 100 credit mark because just being online in any role is a constant coin toss for your life.

- when a neurotransmitter is broken, i should be able to cancel my planned patrol as a controller instead of being locked out of patrols until that device is fixed. it's impossible to accurately describe your location to others for a repair even through the provided data from the controller hud.

- anyone should be able to perform any prole job if they so choose instead of certain classes being locked out of them.

- police have no reliable source of food if rations arent coming in. im not allowed to look in bins or generally loot objects as a cop. you can go to the fishing area and bash the fish with your nightstick, but the game doesnt tell you this and says you need a pipe. you can't be dispensed a pipe as a cop. we don't need so many dead ends. the sound of starving is obnoxious in a way that is just not funny after a few times hearing it, it can last for 10-20 minutes if you are barely surviving while the game just goes BURRRRP every 3 seconds. we get it, we are hungry, but if you keep trying to bother your players, they wont play the game. police can also be easily killed by other police for having contraband for a reward even if they are taking it to be destroyed.

- money should either be lootable on death or should not be wiped from the atms on death, or both. it should be a held item that we can store so that we don't have to use the basically non functional banking system. people already kill for no reason, you arent preventing much with this money sink. no one owns or operates the stores or the apartments in most servers because the money nonsensically disappears in a way that has no positive function for the gameplay loop. if the devs want it to be this way, the money should go to the cops paychecks to feed into the inequality themes instead of going nowhere, or there should be some kind of ruling class that receives it.

- bankers and dealers do not function when you require every interaction to be done manually and no real instructions are offered on how to do so. the dealers should be able to put items on display and have players buy them without the need for delicate manual transfers which are prone to flaws. there is no reason to overcomplicate things with systems that the vast majority of players are never going to interact with, and people never buy anything because of this. you cant run a business because no one has any money. this is just going to be a perpetual loop if the shops arent open and people dont live long enough to rent an apartment much less purchase things. playing about 1 hour as a dealer i did not purchase or sell a single item, and was killed by people hoping to loot my corpse far more often than other classes.

- soup kitchen machines are ridiculous. not showing us the number we are entering and having us lose an anemnocyte on failure (even sometimes when im 100% positive i entered the correct number) just makes it so that no one wants to do that job. the thing also shouldnt be "full" ever. the food should spoil over time instead if not eaten.

- we need to earn anemnocytes or wages per hour or task worked, not just per finished item turned in. the inventory system and controls are not intuitive or responsive enough for this to be some kind of fast paced agility thief game, it just turns into chaos.

- we need more instruction for tasks or where to get tools and resources. it would be nice if some classes could use an item that puts a visual path on the ground to guide us to our objectives instead of being forced to wander.

- please stop requiring us to press a hyperspecific key to close any given menu. ESC is right there. i dont care if i pressed e or q or tab to open something, it should close when i press esc or the menu should have a clickable button to close. if i open a container i must close it with e. if i open my inventory i must close it with q. this just doesnt make any sense at all.

- bloom lighting or whatever they are using is way too heavy. when a filter is put over the screen for an event or while im dead and finding a new host, i cant see walls that are directly in front of me because the image is too washed out. i dont think that the concept is wrong, but the visual fidelity is very bad due to filters that are often stacked. we should have an option to change gamma or similar factors in settings, or a disability oriented option to reduce some of the flashing screen overlays.

- "never stop the wash" "never stop the dry": they are fine in concept, but the text and screen overlay lingers for too long. we need to have less visual interruption especially because with the poor lighting, if we are wearing a visor, or if there is an in game even like the purges, you really cannot tell which laundry machines are ready or not.

- there needs to be an automatic method of flagging criminals. if a worker steals another worker's item and takes the credit for it, they should get at least some kind of mild flag. the current system makes it impossible to identify criminals despite there being surveillance tech everywhere. when it's on it does nothing besides give me a notification of where a person was, by the time i get there they could be on the other end of the map. the police systems simply do not work and it encourages them to just sit around collecting paychecks, which might be intended satire again but does not make for a functional in game society.

TLDR: you cannot make a game about how economy and society does not function, deliberately sabotage it, and then expect the playerbase to continue making that economy and society themselves. the joke can only go so far before you realize that the systems you designed are the opposite of enjoyable to engage with. i would love if this game worked, because it has immense potential, but it simply doesn't work.]

It's almost a good game with a cool concept but the experience is made miserable due to the flagrant abuse of power of people in enforcer roles with no reasonable way of retaliating.
