never has a video game made screaming in terror more funny

100% completed it in one sitting and I'm left with a warm, fuzzy feeling in my chest and a stupid grin on my face. This is one of those short-but-fun feel-good games that you pick up when you're feeling down or just want to have a good time. The movement is also pretty enjoyable and as silly as it sounds I kind of want to see what speedruns for this game look like.

For it's listed price of $20, this game may be a bit pricy for the 4-6 hour playtime, but I certainly do recommend getting it on sale, and considering how it's on sale the day of release, I'd assume that will happen quite often.

I have poured WAY too much of my time into this game, and in all honesty I actually RECOMMEND people to do the same. This game is brutal. It is almost unbearably hard. If you're playing on monsoon because your friends force you to and call you a ♥♥♥♥♥ when you want to play on a lower difficulty, chances are you will die and fail about 9/10 runs. But that 1 run? The best ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time of your life happens right there. If you have pals to play this with, this game is amazing, but even solo runs can be quite enjoyable! Seriously, don't miss out on Risk of Rain 2. It's a gem.

Possibly my favorite game of all time! I'll be short and sweet when I say that this game is initially hard, but your own skill gets better and better, and that feeling of progression is one of the many reasons I love it. Plenty of other people have given better reviews, but I suppose I should cast my vote as well. :>

I will say that honestly, I don't know what it's like to play this game without mods, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game! Starbound is honestly one of my favorite games, and while a friend gifted it to me, I would totally have bought it myself if I knew what I was missing out on.
