Even though I'm on Steam Deck, and was never presented with a PSN login panel, I cannot play offline with this single player game, it refuses stating that it needs an online connection of some kind to verify the game, and will not progress until I provide one.. IT DOES THIS EVERYTIME. I love the game, it's story is fantastic, the game play is amazing, and the performance is jaw dropping especially on the Steam Deck.

Although I have never seen such a good game disappoint me to the degree it has, I bought this game in the hopes that I can play it in my car on my hour lunch at work which mind you has unsteady, if any internet at all, if it wasn't for the fact it took hours to compile the vulkan shaders so I could run the game at a fair FPS I would have already returned the game by now as what's the point of playing it here over my PS4 Pro at that point, but as of now, I'd rather just play any other game that allows offline play, or download a cracked copy of the game I already purchased to strip the un-needed DRM

long story short if you have a constant internet connection you'll be fine, otherwise just don't bother.
