I should have known EA would ♥♥♥♥ it up. Even if you don't mind the ugly people and lootboxes, the game is, at best, the same as Skate 3. I genuinely can't think of a reason to play this over that.

Best Porn Game I've Ever Played

I originally downloaded the Microsoft Solitaire app as a way to help focus during D&D sessions. It worked, but the ads were getting annoying and I was not about to pay a subscription service for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ solitaire. After complaining about this, my DM sent me this game. I initially laughed it off, but seeing as it was free, I decided to try it anyways.

And well, it certainly does it's job. It is a solid solitaire sim. Unironically, it's probably the best way to play solitaire if you don't own any actual cards. The use of AI generated art is unfortunate, but I'm at least grateful for the ability to filter it out. Plus, the ability to customize your cards is pretty nice, whether you're doing it for horny or not. Only real downside is how it looks to anyone seeing me play it on Steam or Discord.

As a huge fan of Overwatch 1, Blizzard shooting itself in the foot with Overwatch 2 has become one of my most despised corporate blunders of the video game market. It was one of my favorite games, so seeing it get turned into the corpse it is now was devastating. So when I had first learned of Rivals, I eagerly awaited its release. I am happy to say not only has it lived up to my expectations, it has surpassed them with flying colors.

This game is everything I loved about Overwatch with the addition of just being one of the most consumer friendly live service games I have ever seen. The developers have been super open and honest about the game, buying the battlepass gives you access to its contents permanently so you don't have to worry about rushing it to get your money's worth, you can get great looking skins pretty easily with just regular play, the devs actually listen to feedback, and so much more. Not to mention, it's the first time in a shooter game where I ACTIVELY wanted to play healer rather than just doing it cause the team needed it.

I could not be happier with this game. If you are a fan of shooters, especially Overwatch, you will love this game.

Let me preface this by saying that as a remaster of Sonic Generations, this is pretty terrible. The base game is mostly the same with the only gameplay addition being the Chaos, which are just the Red Rings again. Graphically, it's identical except for the cutscenes which are either no longer pre-rendered, or if they are, are played at a much higher resolution than the original. But what has been changed is the script, which is actively worse than the original. Sometimes it's cool cause they added new references to previous games, which was nice, but other times it's just far more awkward versions of the original lines (see: Amy's reaction to Classic Sonic), and other times they actively remove charm from the original script. If you already own the original and don't care for the Shadow stuff, this is a definite skip.

That said, the real meat of this game is with Shadow Generations, which in stark contrast to the Sonic Generations Remaster, is genuinely amazing. Everything that was great about the original game is back in full swing, but along side new abilities that add so much to the game, a whole new pack of levels and bosses that are all great, and a hub world that's genuinely a lot of fun to explore. Plus, it's graphically the best looking Sonic game we've had to date. If you're buying this game, you're buying it for the Shadow stuff.

The price is definitely a downside though, $50 is way too much considering you can easily beat both games in an afternoon, so wait for it to go on sale. $30 is maybe worth it if you don't already own the original, but I think about $20 is the sweet spot.

I won't lie, this game is very, very flawed. The Cyberspace levels are frankly terrible, a good chunk of them being straight ripped from previous sonic games with very little changed, and overall just feel terrible to play since they were not designed around how Sonic moves in this game. The grinding you need to do to finish the story is annoying as hell and towards the end, the enemies started to get more annoying than fun.

But if you're able to look past that, it's a solid game. Sonic works great in the open world and it's so much fun running from one end of the map to the other, especially when you max out your rings. And the combat, though it takes some getting used to, feels really satisfying, especially pulling off a long combo. The story is probably the best we've gotten in a Sonic game to date, which, admittedly, isn't saying much, I promise it's good.

As a long time Sonic fan, I am very satisfied and absolutely recommend it, just know it'll be a bumpy road.

Even if you're not a fan of the waifu aspect of the game, it's a ton of fun. Really fast paced and brutal, but not unfair. That said, I have no intention of completing hard mode (I swapped the last level down to Easy even), but I can definitely see some enjoying that mode if you're really masochistic. I'd love to see a DLC for the game like Examtaker.

You ever wanted to try speedrunning, but don't have the patience to sit for hours to shave seconds off your time? Neon White gives you the joy of Speedrunning in shorter bursts, and it's extraordinarily fun.

A lot of people seem to not be a fan of the story, and that's fair. I personally enjoyed it, but that's because I genuinely enjoy a lot of the anime tropes the game plays into. Either way, the gameplay more than makes up for the story's faults, and if you really can't stand it, there's a fast forward button.
