It is a fun game for me to play with friends,
I appreciate the developers moves to eliminate FOMO,
game gets a better feel to it every patch,
only real gripe I have with the game is the augmentation system which can get a little obtuse to work with, but it is not an outright negative.

One of the just pure fun games I have played in a good while, heavily recommend :)

Zero-K is the game who kick me the hardest and prove constantly that I have no right to have a hubris for my gaming skills, thankfully my friend in the Co-op Campaign can cover for my non existent brain, and through great pain, suffering and many hours, pull us through the missions on the highest difficulty the game allows for.

A fun game if you have:

- Time
- Friend/s
- Money to spend for DLC's
- An ability to have self control in the crown store

You will need quite a lot of time if you want to enjoy the full experience as there is a lot more voiced content than just the main quest required NPC's, at various stages of a quest every NPC associated with that quest may have something new to say, leading to a lot of tidbits of lore, character development and general information being possible to completly miss out on. Additionally you may need to put a lot of time aside to listen to amazing characters like Razum-dar, Stibbons, Naryu, Verandis and Gwendis just to name a few.

I would advise that you play the game together with one or several friends you can trust, as I advice you trust practically nobody, as there are a lot of people purposely spreading misinformation about most things in game, often to further their own gold gain and lessen their competition, other times just to be trolls.

Depending on what content you plan on playing I would strongly recommend owning a few of the DLC's to at least have access to all of the zones in the game, so you would be looking at getting the Thieves guild, the Dark brotherhood, Murkmire, Orsinium and the Clockwork City DLC's as well as the Morrowind and Summerset Expansions which at the time of this review there are 32 rather well fleshed out zones once you have this content.

I will however mention that there are quite a few quality of life purchases that can be made on the crown store, that can strongly improve upon the game experience. Additionally if you are a player who likes to collect many things, decorate or want to be an all round crafter on one or several of your characters, it can be highly advisable to invest in ESO+ membership to get access to the craft bag( and of course this would give you access to most of the DLC content in the game as long as you have the ESO+ membership active).

X Rebirth... there is so much to say about this game, nearly nothing nice to say though ( the fact that this game single handedly killed off the entire X community, should make it clearer just how much not nice is to say about this game ), sure, the game kinda looks nice, but that is also the best you can say about the game.

the game is so full of bugs, that I had to use all 10 save files + quick saves to have any progress, because I kept breaking the game to the point where loading an earlier save was the only solution ( this happened extremely often ).

I admit having my game save modified to get the required amount of money for the 1 Billion achievement, but only because of a magical money drain in the game that caused me to lose money constantly, seriously, 1 billion, gone in 2 days of not spending money ( never found out what did that ( the log over everything, had no info about any money being spent either ) ).

The game is dumbed down and restricts you the entire way, even in the other game modes, you will never have anywhere near the freedom you had in the earlier games.

Without any spoilers, the Champaign mode is broken on several levels, it ends in a way that makes you go: and what next.... wait... was that it..... I beat the story mode....... IT CAN'T END LIKE THIS!, this dosn't explain anything, none of this made sence..... there have to be more... right..... maybe there are some DLC comming that will complete the story, give some answers, make some sense of this.... at least a "complete" story... right?... NOPE!, no current announcements for DLC, not a single mention towards DLC, anywhere, at all...

If you despite what I have said so far, still want to buy and play the game, be warned that you might not be able to, regardles of how much of a beast your PC is, you may run one of the worlds most advanced powerhouse PC's, and still not be able to run this game, due to bad programming. So buying it is a gamble in several ways, you may not even be able to launch it ( it ran in about a steady 30FPS for me from day 1, no clue why ), it may run, but at 2FPS, or it may run just fine at 30-60FPS, but you have no way of knowing before having bought the game.

If you are a fan of the old X games and want to know what happened after the X3 games, you have my condolences, walk away, you never saw this, it ended with the X3 games, and that is all you honestly want to know.

I think I have said all that I wanted to say, while staying as objective as I can, so for the short summary for those that didn't want to read all of this.

*Summary*
The game is a buggy abomination that is a waste of your time, money and potentially treasured memories of the earlier X games, and may not even be playable if you buy it.

I bought this game cause Steam gave me a -90% deal on it, only 4€, so why not I thought. The game is somewhat entertaining to play, and it works suprisingly well. I do have some issues with the bullets and where they hit or not, but that isn't really something of a problem until you are some meters away from something.

The game started off refusing to start cause it was sure that Steam was not running, that I tried to launch the game from inside of Steam, was apparently not proof enough that Steam was running, so after restarting Steam, it launched nicely.

As I play this game, I just keep wishing more and more that I could get an option to join the natzis and rather help them invade earth and kill off these blasted incompetent leaders that send me around on monday errands in space while treating me worse than dogsh-it, the natzis does at least acknowledge me and actually want me to join them, but for some reason, my character seems to enjoy being pushed around on petty errands and treated worse than sh-it.... this, combined with the fact that I learned that Steam had stoped giving me my achievements after the 5 first..... gave me a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

In light of me spending extra time in the game, doing everything to get the game 100% completed.... have made me change my mind about those 4€ it's not worth itand you shouldn't even consider buying it, if you do however, don't expect the world... it is what you would likely expect of a game about spaceships and moon natzis.

Remember to skip every video there is in the game, watching them may get you into a loop where you have no choice but to go back to the start of a chapter to not lose the objective ( which is tedious at best ).

If you still want to buy this game, buy it when steam is having a -90% off sale, if not, you will get legally robbed. Personally if given the offer to buy the game for the first time again ( with the knowledge I currently have about the game ) I'd rather light up a fireplace if i was cold, or donate the money to charity I were warm.

( to set it into perspective how bad this game is, X Rebirth is giving me less issues than Iron Sky Invasion have, and X Rebirth is the abomination that killed off the entire community for the X Series, and I'd rather buy X Rebirth again if I had to choose between the two )

( and if anyone wonders, I kinda liked the movie, in a way that it was so horribly bad that it was entertaining to watch )

Warning, do not buy this game!!! ( I recommend a warning against buying this game ^_^ ) was my thoughts on this.... thing... before attempting to complete the game 100%, the game is a complete mess, the AI is more than just incompetent.... it is just so much wrong with this game that it makes me want to literally throw up, the game is an abomination to the XCOM series and even on its own as a stand alone game, it's horrible ( and the DLC is even worse than the main game, and it dosn't really make any sense at all ) =S, please, do not buy this game, not even as a bad joke. The only good thing about this game is that I now have all the achievements and I can now smite this thing from my PC and never have to touch it again =D
