The Faceit ban is related to an exploit that allowed sv_cheat protected commands to be used on any server. I used r_drawviewmodel 0, mat_fullbright 1, and fov_cs_debug 90 (90 and 0 have the same FOV, except 90 won’t zoom in with scoped weapons. 0 is default).

You can find my demo files on my settings dot gg page mentioned above, linked through MediaFire. I archived them because maybe one day, someone will want to review them and see I never cheated. But I doubt it – people prefer to just say, "Faceit banned you for cheating, so you must be a cheater," and leave it at that. I get it. I'd probably do the same. But if you understand the exploit and how Faceit handed out bans, you might second guess and actually investigate who's lying.

Most people don’t realize that sv_cheats doesn’t mean wallhack, aimbot, radar, bhop, etc. It's basic, but even experienced players don’t always know this. Crazy, right? I won’t dive into pointless arguments like "if it’s cheat protected, you shouldn’t use it" or "why try that on Faceit" – those have pretty simple answers.

Most people also don't understand that all bans were automated, with no manual reviews, I tried to appeal, it was not even read, just copy+paste response (as usual).

Cheat protected means the developers want to avoid ruining your viewing experience. The commands I used make the game look like crap (which I unironically enjoy), but they don’t give any competitive advantage.
