A brilliant sequel to the original Risk of Rain, which stood triumphant in its own right. The addition of a touch of 3D really makes the atmospheric gameplay more immersive and delicious. Adding a bit of customization, coupled with lots of new enemy mechanics really makes the game more fun as well. There are even more secrets and easter eggs to find than the first! Sometimes I play for 20 or 30 minutes, other times I look up and 2 hours has gone by. The soundtrack is just as masterful as the first, truly something that should not be missed.

Updated Fall 2021:
The devs have continued to put so much work and polish into an already magnificent masterpiece, that I will come back to Risk of Rain 2 again and again when the AAA titles grow stale and the grind of survival crafting makes me weary. I look forward to the next title these fine devs put their minds to!
