But yet I don't get it , I like Valve games but let's imagine the same CS GO / CS 2 coming out right now 2024 from any OTHER company (Ubisoft/EA/Activision/) or even an indie company , would it be that great ?

CS is not a grate game because of Invasion , it doesn't have a unique gameplay or a memorable story.
This game is a Lightning in a jar , a unique combination of being at the right time and in the right hands of a loving developers .
This game have an enormous cultural appeal , and it will grow with years , but as years pass I still don't get CS2.
