Arguably one of the best zombie games ever made, this mod for Half-Life 2 is a testament to immense passion and effort poured into making it. The game may have its jankiness, but those add to its horror experience, making you feel like an average Joe. It captures the raw terror of a John Romero-esque apocalypse, where every moment is a desperate struggle to survive without succumbing to the infection.

The haunting environments, immersive atmosphere, and the exceptional soundtrack amplify this overwhelming sense of hopelessness where even minor mistakes can be an instant death sentence.
